The created procedure orders appear in the Today's Procedure Orders grid.
- In theProcedure Orderssection, from theProcedurelist, select the procedure for which you want to place the order.
The list includes all the procedures entered in theProceduresection of theASC - Intaketemplate.
- Select the type and category of the procedure order.
All the preconfigured procedure orders matching the selected type and category appear in the grid.
- To add a preconfigured procedure order, select it from the grid.
To verify the procedure orders automatically on moving to the
Today's Procedure grid, select the
Verify Procedure Orders when added to Today's Orders check box.
Note: When you select medication procedure orders, the drug interaction window containing all the interactions for the selected medication opens. You must acknowledge the interactions to proceed with the order.
- To add a new procedure order, do one of the following:
- Select General procedure order, and then enter the order details in the Procedure Order field.
- Select Medication procedure order, and then enter the medication details.

- Select Ordered By, Status, and Time.
- To indicate that the order was entered later, select the Late Entry check box, and enter the reason for the late entry in the Comment field.
- If you have selected the Verbal Procedure Order type, select the I verify that I received a verbal order, documented and read it back to the ordering provider check box.
- Click Add.
The added procedure order appears in the
Today's Procedure Orders grid.
Note: You can also edit and use the pre-configured procedure orders in the grid to place the procedure orders.
