Physical Therapy Goal Administration

Therapy goals used on the Therapy Goals template are configured on the PT Goal Administration practice template. Therapy goals are based on information documented for the reason for visit, History of Present Illness (HPI), and physical exam for the patient. Pre-configured therapy goals configurations are packaged with the system. You can add customized goals and modify or remove existing ones. Configuring goals requires knowledge of the template name and the field name that you wish to use for creating a goal. Fields in the Field Selection section at the top of the template are used to add or update goals in the grid. Configured goals appear in the Saved available goals grid. Enter New Therapy Goals for the Patient

Therapy goals are based on information documented for the reason for visit, History of Present Illness (HPI), and physical exam for the patient. Preconfigured therapy goals configurations are packaged with the system. Clients can add customized goals and modify or remove existing ones. Goals can be added, updated or removed. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Objective template, on the Goals panel, click the Add button to launch the Therapy Goals template, which displays accumulated goals listed in the Available Goals grid. Therapy Goals Highlight a row in the Available Goals grid to select a goal. Click the Goal type field and select the type of goal from the picklist.The remaining fields display additional details for the goal. Click the Weeks field and select the number of weeks to reach the goal, if appropriate. Click Add.The Added goals grid displays the new goal. Click Save & Close to return to the Objective template. Patient Goals

The Goals panel displays the therapy goals documented by the provider on the Therapy Goals template. Any additions to the grid must be made on the Therapy Goals template. Physical Therapy Home Page Template Details

The practice can customize the panels displayed on the Home Page - Physical Therapy template. The following table describes the panels on the template. Panel Description Diagnosis Lists all the assessments to be included in orders and billing. You can view billing assessments for the current encounter, including ICD codes. Goals Displays patient's therapy goals documented by the provider in the Therapy Goals template. Treatment History Displays the treatment history details related to the patient. Historical PE Displays the Historical PE details. Treatment Log Displays the patient's treatment details by encounter. Lists the patient's encounter diagnosis, treating assessments, and a history of treatments in a flowsheet format, organized by the encounter date. Allergies Lists the allergies associated with a patient. Medications Lists the patient's current medications. Configuration Options

Review the configuration options and decide what you need to implement to enable you to complete the workflows outlined here. You can configure the following practice templates for the Physical Therapy specialty: Physical Therapy Goal Administration: Enables you to edit or add new existing physical therapy goals. Practice Configuration: Enables you to enter expected treatment times by visit type. In addition, you have options for applying billing modifiers. The ability to use the third-party service provided by Physiotec directly from within the Physical Therapy template set also needs to be configured before using the templates.
