Navigate to the required vital signs.
For example, if you want to restore respiratory rate, navigate to the
Respiratory Rate
section.
Use
Restore <Vital Sign Element Name> Defaults
above the respective vital signs grid to restore the default values.
The vital sign alert values are reverted to the defaults.

Revert All Vital Signs Preferences to System Default Values
You can restore all the vital signs preferences to the default system values. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Vital Signs Configuration, and then select OK. The Vital Signs Configuration practice template opens. Select Restore ALL Vital Signs Defaults. Restore Vital Sign Preferences
You can revert all of the changes made to vital signs preferences back to their initial default values. You can also restore initial default preferences for individual vital sign elements. Update the Respiratory Rate Alert Preferences
You can update the respiratory rate alert preferences for pediatric vital signs in the Respiratory Rate section. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Vital Signs Configuration, and then select OK.The Vital Signs Configuration practice template opens. In the Respiratory Rate grid, double-click the row that holds the alert to be modified. The Pediatric Respiratory Rate Alerts template opens. Pediatric Respiratory Rate Alerts window to update an alert depending on the age Select the age range and the lower and upper limits of the respiratory rate for the patient. In the Alert , enter the updated message. Note: NextGen Healthcare recommends limiting the alert message to 35 characters. Select the icon to update other alert preferences. In the Heart Rate section you can update the heart rate alert preferences for pediatric vital signs. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select Vital Signs Configuration, and then select OK.The Vital Signs Configuration practice template opens. In the Heart Rate grid, double-click the row to modify.The Pediatric Heart Rate Alerts template opens. Pediatric heart rate alert window to update an alert depending on the age Select the age range and the lower and upper limits of the heart rate for the patient. In Alert, enter the updated message. Note: NextGen Healthcare recommends limiting the alert message to 35 characters. Select the icon to update other alert preferences. Select Save and then select Close. Document Vital Signs Attribute Feedback
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Vital Signs Configuration, and then select OK.The Vital Signs Configuration practice template opens. Select Attributes/Feedback.The Attributes View and Management template opens. Optional: You can add, modify, delete, and view the attributes for vital signs interventions, such as BMI, heart rate, respiratory rate, fever, and blood pressure on the Attributes View and Management template. Select the vital sign intervention, and then select OK.The Attributes View and Management template automatically displays the attributes based on the intervention. Select Feedback.The Attribute Feedback template opens. Enter the feedback, and then select OK. Update the Fever Alert Preferences
In the Fever section you can update the alert preferences for fever data in pediatric vital signs. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Vital Signs Configuration, and then select OK.The Vital Signs Configuration practice template opens. In the Fever grid, double-click a row that holds the alert to be modified.The Pediatric Fever Alert template opens. Pediatric Fever Alert window to update an alert depending on the age Select the age range and fever temperature for the patient.In runtime, if the temperature provided by a user is greater than the temperature entered in the Temperature field, an alert appears. In the Alert, enter the updated message. Note: NextGen Healthcare recommends limiting the alert message to 35 characters. Select the icon to update other alert preferences.
