Viewing Exceptions and Measures

You can manage exceptions and view measure details on the Exceptions/Measures template. You can open the Exceptions/Measures template from the navigation bar or from the CPT II Claims Based Reporting panel on the Finalize template. You can view the following types of exceptions and measures on the Exception/Measures template: Registry-based measures Procedure coded measures Custom data mapping Exception/Measures For information on how to address specific measures, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the guides for NextGen® HQM. Viewing Registry-Based Measures You can view the status and explanation of a selected registry-based measure on the top section of the Exceptions/Measures template. Submitting Procedure Coded Measures You can select and submit a procedure code to satisfy a claims-based measure. Use Custom Data Mappings on the Provider CQM Template

When the custom data mappings are configured, at runtime, you can enter the custom data needed for reporting a measure in the Custom Data Mapping panel on the Exceptions/Measures template. The Custom Data Mappings panel displays all the custom data mapping records configured in the Certification Custom Data Mapping panel on the Coded Results Mapping template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select Exception/Measures in the navigation bar.The Exceptions/Measures template opens. Expand the Custom Data Mapping panel. Custom Data Mapping Note: The Custom Data to Document grid shows all the records from the Certification Custom Data Mapping panel on the Coded Results Mapping template. Select a record in the grid.The Data description field is filled with the description of the selected record. Select the Data value field.The appropriate data collection tool, calendar, number pad, and so on, are displayed based on the data type defined for this mapping. Update a Mapping

You can retain the original mapping values for the previously created patient records. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Coded Results Mapping template. Expand the Certification Custom Data Mapping panel. Select a mapping record in the grid.The data fields are filled with the data from the selected record and the Update button is enabled. Make the required changes to data fields. Note: If you clear a field that is required, the Update button is disabled until you make an entry in that field. Select Update.The system updates the selected mapping record with the changed data. Note: If you change any of the data in the fields and select Add, the system creates a new mapping and does not update the selected mapping record. Parent topic: Custom Data Mapping

Remove a Mapping

You can remove a mapping at any time. The removed mappings are not deleted, but are disabled and do not appear on the Exceptions/Measures template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Coded Results Mapping template, expand the Certification Custom Data Mapping panel. Select a mapping in the grid that you want to remove.The data fields display data from the selected mapping, and the Remove button is enabled. Select Remove.The selected mapping record is removed and decreases the record count by one. Note: To view the removed mappings, select the Removed option above the grid. Access the Coded Results Mapping Template

You can access the Coded Results Mapping template by performing the following steps. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. In Select Template, in the Practice tab tab, under Show, select All. Select Coded Results Mapping , then select OK.The Coded Results Mapping template opens. Options to document Coded Results Mapping template View Coded Results Mapping Records You can filter the Coded Results Mapping grid to view the desired sets of records or limit the grid to selected records. View Mapping Records of a Table and Field You can filter the mapping records to a specific table and field. Custom Data Mapping

You can report the data fields for newly added measures that are not currently available in the system. You can enter variable data for reporting purposes at runtime. Your system is delivered with a defined set of measures and code mappings using which you can immediately report for new measures that are not supported by the system. In addition, you can add measure and code mappings as needed to meet the new reporting requirements. On the Coded Results Mapping template, in the Certification Custom Data Mapping panel, you can do the following: Configure custom mapping for fields with the data values that need to be captured for reporting the new measures. Enable the data to be added on a template after the upgrade. When configured, providers can enter custom data for reporting the measures in the Custom Data Mappings panel on the Exceptions/Measures template. The Custom Data Mappings panel consists of a grid, which displays all the records from the Certification Custom Data Mapping pane
