Add a New Flowsheet Setup

Access the Flowsheets Setup practice template . Select a Condition by clicking the Condition field down-arrow and selecting a value from the list that opens . Click OK. Select a Provider by clicking the Provider field down-arrow and select a provider name from the Rendering Provider list (that is, list of providers currently in the system), if required. Click OK. Note: Selecting a provider creates a flowsheet setup at the provider level for the provider selected. Not selecting a provider creates a flowsheet setup at the practice level for all providers within the practice. In the Metric Flowsheet Items section, select details for a new metric to add to the flowsheet: Click the left field and select an appropriate category for the new flowsheet item from the list that opens. Click the right field and select the name of the new flowsheet item from the list that opens. Click Add to add the new metrics flowsheet item to the grid. Change the Order of Items in the Flowsheet Setup Grid by Category

Access the Flowsheets Setup practice template . Select Change Category Order check box in the Metrics Flowsheet Items section. The Metrics Flowsheet Items grid refreshes to display the categories currently setup in the flowsheet. Select the row displaying the category that you want to move. For example, select Audiometry The current order in this illustration is: Lab Test Vital Signs Vision Screening Audiometry Click the row item that you want to move the selected category to. For example, select the row with Lab Test. The grid refreshes to display all metrics flowsheet items in the new order, based on the new order of the categories and their Item Sort value. The Change Category Order check box automatically clears. Change the Order of Items in the Flowsheet Setup Grid by Item

Access the Flowsheets Setup practice template . Select Change Item Order check box in the Metrics Flowsheet Items section. The Metrics Flowsheet Items grid refreshes to display items in the order currently setup in the flowsheet, along with their categories. Select the row displaying the item (and its category) that you want to move. For example, select the item Cholesterol, total , which has the category Lab Test. The item sort number for Cholesterol, total is 6. The current order for Lab Test category in this illustration is: Triglycerides Hemoglobin A1c Creatinine, serum Glom Filt Rate, Estimated Microalb/creat ratio Cholesterol, total Click the row item that you want to move the selected item and its category to. For example, select the row with Lab Test Triglycerides. The Item Sort number for Triglycerides is 1. The Choloesterol, total item moves to the row where Triglycerides was, and all other items moved down one row. The grid refreshes to display all metrics flowsheet items in

Open the Flowsheets Setup Practice Template

You can create a flowsheet setup or configure the existing flowsheet. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. In the Select Template window, select the Practice tab. In the Show section, select All. To access the Flowsheets Setup practice template, do one of the following: Double-click Flowsheets Setup. Sort Items in the Flowsheet Setup Grid Alphabetically

Access the Flowsheets Setup practice template . The Metrics Flowsheet Items grid displays items in the order currently setup in the flowsheet, along with their categories. The example below is the order before sorting the items alphabetically. For example, the current order for Lab Test category starts with Cholesterol, total and ends with B2M. Cholesterol, total Creatinine, serum Glom Filt Rate, Estimated HDL Hemoglobin A1c Microalb/creat ratio Triglycerides AST B2M Select Sort Items Alphabetically check box in the Metrics Flowsheet Items section. The Metrics Flowsheet Items grid refreshes to display items in alphabetical order within their category, and the Item Sort values refresh to reflect the new order. View Metrics Flowsheets on the Care Guidelines Template

Providers can view metrics for a patient such as lab and vital signs values, for up to 10 rows of data on the Care Guidelines template in the Metrics panel. Data is displayed in a flowsheet format that can be configured by practice or by provider on the Flowsheets Setup practice template. The Metrics grid is view-only and displays results from the Orders module. The Metrics grid also displays vital signs and vision screening. Metrics flowsheets are displayed on the Metrics panel when you select a condition listed in the blue left side pane of the Care Guidelines template. The conditions listed are those for which clinical guidelines have been activated for the patient. When you first open the Care Guidelines template and expand the Metrics panel, it appears blank. Flow sheets do not appear until you select a guideline listed in the blue left side bar under Outstanding Guidelines.
