Review Obstetric Lab Orders

You can review the obstetric lab order results individually or collectively. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal. Open the Prenatal Detail template, and then expand the Initial Orders panel.The lab orders associated with the Obtained Interval date range appear in the grid. To review a single lab order result, select the row where the lab order result is available.The Edit Test Interval window opens when the lab order result is available in the grid. Select the Reviewed checkbox, and then select Save & Close.The reviewed check mark appears in the Initial Order panel grid for the selected lab order. To review all lab orders with results, select the Reviewed checkbox.The reviewed check mark appears for all orders with results. Update Obstetric Lab Order Results

You can update existing obstetric lab orders in the order management template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal. Open the Prenatal Detail template, and then expand the Initial Orders panel to view the lab order details. To update the lab order results, select the Order Management link in the Prenatal Detail template.The Order Management template opens. Select the Lab orders option.The lab orders associated with the Prenatal Detail template appear in the Order Management panel. Order Management with Lab orders Select the lab order to update, and then select Edit.The Lab Order template appears. In Result details, enter or select the result value. Columns in OB Groups

Th OB group columns display details about the obstetric lab order test results. In the obstetric group panels the columns Test, Result, Ordered, Obtained, #, and Add'l are available. When reviewed, in the first column, the reviewed check mark appears for all orders with results. You can view the following obstetric group panels on the Prenatal Detail template: Initial Orders 24-28 Week Orders 32-37 Week Orders Ultrasound Orders Optional Orders Genetic Screening and Testing Maternal Carrier Screening Fetal (Aneuploidy) Chromosomal Testing In the obstetric group panels the following columns are available: Test Result Ordered Obtained # Add'l When reviewed, in the first column, the reviewed check mark appears for all orders with results. When the lab results are modified for a reviewed order, the indicator (#) for updated lab results appears and the reviewed mark is removed. Place Obstetric Lab Orders

The Obtained Interval range is available based on the prenatal details available on the Gestational Age template template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal. Open the Prenatal Detail template, and then expand the Initial Orders panel.The lab orders associated with the Obtained Interval date range appears in the grid. Note: The Obtained Interval date range is based on the details of the Gestational Age template. Initial Orders To order a test through the Historical Test - Quick Entry template, double-click the test name. For the D(rh) test, if the result is negative, the result appears in red color. Review Optional Orders

You can review lab results for the available obstetric lab order in the Optional Orders panel. You can place orders for the tests in the Optional Orders panel during any time of pregnancy. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal. On the Prenatal Detail template, expand the Optional Orders panel.The associated lab orders appear in the grid. Double-click the test name to place the order through Historical Test - Quick Entry template. To review a single lab order result, do the following: Select the row where the lab order result is available. The Edit Test Interval window opens. You can review lab results for the available obstetric lab order in the Fetal Chromosomal Testing panel. You can place orders for the tests in the Fetal Chromosomal Testing panel during any time of pregnancy. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal.
