Place Orders through Historical Quick Entry

You can use the Historical Test - Quick Entry template to place obstetric orders.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter.
3. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal.
4. Open the Prenatal Details template, and expand the Initial Orders panel.
5. Select the test name in the grid.
   The Historical Test - Quick Entry template with the selected test name opens.

   Important: If no lab orders are documented, the Historical Test - Quick Entry window opens when you select the test in the grid. You can review the result in the Edit Test Interval window only after documenting the test result.
6. Select the test description from the left pane.
   The test description and test code appear on the right pane.
7. Select a date in Date done.
8. Enter the Interpretation and Results details.
9. Select Save & Add New.
10. Select OK.
    The details are available in the Initial Orders panel.
