Add PE Copy Forward Excluded Data Set Items

On the Data Sets Setup template, select Data Set and select PE Copy Forward Excluded.The existing data set items associated with the PE Copy Forward Excluded data set appear in the grid. PE Copy Forward Excluded data set Select Add.The Template Data Sets Setup – [New Record] template opens. Template Data Sets Setup If applicable, select Diagnosis description to search and select a diagnosis.The associated diagnosis code automatically appears. If applicable, select Provider and select a provider from the resulting list. In Specialty, enter the specialty. In Template Name, enter the name of the template used for physical examination. In Field Name, enter the name of the field that is required to be excluded when you copy forward details. Select Save, and then select Close.The newly configured data set item appears in the Data Sets Setup template. Note: To add another item, select Clear For Add in the Template Data Sets Setup – [New Record] template and repeat steps 1 and 2. View Run-Time

In the run-time SOAP template, select Specialty as Orthopedics and Visit Type as Office Visit. In the Physical Exam panel, select One Page Exam.The General Exam - PE template opens. Enter the relevant details and then select OK.In the SOAP template, the details are displayed in the Physical Exam panel. Select Save. Create a new encounter for the patient and open the SOAP template in a new encounter. Select Specialty as Orthopedics and Visit type as Office Visit. In the Physical Exam panel, select One Page Exam.The General Exam – PE template opens. General Exam – PE Select View Last Exam link.The Last Physical Exam - Musculoskeletal template opens. Last Physical Exam - Musculoskeletal Select the required exam, and then select Copy exam to current encounter. Select Save & Close.On the General Exam – PE template, the values are copied forward in the grid. The fields that are configured to be excluded when the values are copied forward are not copied. Exclusions and Inclusions

You can use the Exclusions and Inclusions panel to: Set fields that are excluded from QuickPick sets Enable or Disable Get Data functionality Set fields that are included in Get Data Note: As a default, the NextGen® Orthopedic Suite sets all patient-specific information such as diagnosis, timeframe, and so on as excluded from QuickPicks. Exclusions and Inclusions panel on the QuickPick Manager template Setup the Fields to be Excluded from QuickPick If you do not want to save the data of a particular field as a QuickPick, you can add that field to the exclusion list. Copy Forward Functionality for Ophthalmic Exams

Providers can copy forward exam findings from previous encounters to the exam fields in the current encounter. There are three copy forward options: Copy Past Exam link - opens the Copy Past Exam - OPH template and displays previous exams; gives you the option to filter the exam findings by eye and select the findings you want to copy Copy last exam check boxes - copies the exam from the last visit; located above the corresponding exam fields Copy Last External/Slit Lamp and Copy Last External/Slit Lamp/Posterior - copies the last corresponding exam After you have copied-forward values from a previous encounter, you can update the exam findings to reflect today's exam. Note: Privileges for the copy-forward functionality are configured by the practice for individual providers on the Eye Configuration practice template.
