Discharge Documentation Panel on the ASC - Postprocedure Template

The Discharge Documentation panel is used to document discharge related items such as time of physician evaluation, time of patient discharge, patient belongings returned, and any adverse events experienced by the patient while in the ASC. After documenting discharge related information, the clinicians performs the sign off and generates the master document to maintain a reference of the procedures performed on the patient. Edit a Preconfigured Patient Discharge Instruction

The Patient Discharge Instructions panel allows you to edit the patient discharge instructions. Select Category and select a category from the list.The pre-configured discharge instructions associated with the selected procedure and category appear in the grid. Highlight a row in the grid. The selected discharge instruction appears in the Discharge Instructions field. Make relevant changes to the discharge instruction. Patient Discharge Instructions Select Add.The updated discharge instruction appears in the Today's Discharge Instructions grid. You can also edit the patient discharge instructions in the Today's Discharge Instructions grid. Add Patient Discharge Instructions

You can add discharge instructions if the pre-configured discharge instructions are not applicable for selection. The Procedure field displays the procedure selected in the Procedure panel on the ASC - Intake template. Note: In the Procedure Orders and Discharge Instructions practice template, select the Do not allow add on 1-click checkbox at the bottom of the Patient Discharge Instructions grid to hide the Add all Discharge Instructions to Today's Discharge Instructions on 1-click checkbox and Add Discharge Instructions to Today's Discharge Instructions on 1-click checboxes on the Patient Discharge Instructions panel. Select Category and select a category from the list.The pre-configured discharge instructions associated with the selected procedure and category appear in the grid. Procedure Orders Panel on the ASC - Physician Procedure Template

The Procedure Orders panel allows the providers to document the procedure orders. The procedure orders are pre-configured on the Procedure Orders and Discharge Instructions practice template. For more information on procedure order configuration, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Procedure Order & Discharge Instruction Practice Template User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. Procedure Orders If the current encounter includes only one procedure, then system displays the procedure in the Procedure field. If the current encounter includes more than one procedure, the system displays first procedure in the Procedure field. If the case ID of the encounters is the same, then the procedure orders documented in the panel carry forward to the Procedure Orders panel on the other Ambulatory Surgery framework templates in the next encounters with the same case ID.
