Document a Patient's Custom Plan

You can document the patient's diagnostics, insurance, lab orders, diagnostic, referrals, and follow-up details in the My Custom Plan template. Before you begin On My Custom Plan practice template, in the General Configuration panel, select the Launch My Custom Plan checkbox. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient's record, and then open an encounter. Open the Intake template, select the specialty as Family Practice and the visit type as Office Visit, and then select My Plan.The My Custom Plan window opens. Document a Lab Order

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient's record, and then open an encounter. Open the Intake template, select the specialty as Family Practice and the visit type as Office Visit, and then select My Plan. The My Plan window opens. Select the Labs tab.The Lab Master template opens. Select an assessment in the Today's Assessments grid. You can place a diagnostic study order with Bypass Order Module Processing turned on. You can place a diagnostic study order from the Diagnostic Studies template. Note: If Bypass Order Module Processing is not in effect, the Lab/Radiology Order Processing link appears on the Diagnostic Studies template. Place an Order for Diagnostic Studies

You can place a diagnostic study order with Bypass Order Module Processing enabled. You can place a diagnostic study order from the Diagnostic Studies template. Note: If Bypass Order Module Processing is not in effect, the Lab/Radiology Order Processing link appears on the Diagnostic Studies template. After you place an order, you must select the Order Module Processing link to select the vendor and submit the order for processing. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Diagnostic Studies template. Diagnostic Studies template The patient’s insurance details and policy number appear if they are entered into the application. If a preferred vendor are configured in the File Maintenance application, the name appears. The Today’s Assessments grid displays a list of diagnoses selected in the Assessments tab. Process Lab Orders

You can process lab orders from the Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Checkout template. Expand the Today's Orders panel. Select the Lab/Radiology Order Processing link.The Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template opens. Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template Select Labs or Radiology. Select the Vendor field, and select the vendor name from the list. Select the Unsubmitted option. In the Today's Orders grid, select the row for the order.The Include selected order button appears. To move the order to the Orders for Selected Vendor section, select Include selected order. To answer any questions associated with the orders, select AOE. Add Orders in the Order Management Template

Click the Order Management link to launch the Order Management template. The system selects the All Orders option by default to display all of the orders placed in the current encounter. If orders are not available in the grid, click Add to launch the My Plan template. Note: If you select the Launch My Custom Plan (ord_my_custom_plan) check box on the Practice Configuration practice template, then the My Custom Plan template launches.
