View Order Status
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake - Cardiology template. Select the Orders panel.The Orders panel, by default, displays all of the available orders. Enroll a Patient in One or More Clinics
You can enroll a patient in one or more cardiac clinics. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake - Cardiology template. Select the Cardiac Orders panel. Select Enroll In.The Enroll In template opens. Enroll In To select a type, do one of the following: Select a Type option. Based on the selection, additional fields appear for the selection in the Description section. Select the appropriate options from the Description field. Note: When you select the OP Rehab type option, it automatically opens the OPCardVascPerRehab window. The list in the OPCardVascPerRehab window needs to be configured in the Template Editor. Once you select an option from the list, it gets filled in the Description field. Select the Exclusions link to document exclusions for medical, patient, and system for patients who do not have a referral to Cardiac Rehabilitation for the Cardiology specialty. Order Procedures
You can order procedures in the Cardiac orders panel on the Intake template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake - Cardiology template. Select Procedures.The Procedure Order template opens. Procedure Order Select a procedure from the Non-Invasive or Invasive section. Based on the selected procedure, additional fields appear in the Description section. Select the appropriate options from the Description section. To select a location, click the Location field. To document a time for the order, do one of the following. To select an option for an appointment, click the When field. To select a scheduled appointment, click Appt. Select a diagnosis from the Diagnosis grid to associate it with the procedure.Depending on the procedure, if required, you can add comments in the Additional Information field. View Pending Orders and Medication Changes
You can view pending orders and medication changes in the Cardiac orders section on the Intake template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake - Cardiology template. Select the Cardiac Orders panel. Select Pending Orders.The Pending Orders grid opens. Pending Orders Note: The Pending Orders and Medication Changes share the same grid on the panel. When you open Medication Changes, the button for Pending Orders appears below the grid. When you click Pending Orders, the grid changes to Pending Orders, and the button changes to Medication Changes. Order Lab Tests
You can order Lab tests in the Cardiac Orders panel on the Intake template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake - Cardiology template. Select the Cardiac Orders panel. Select Labs.The Labs template opens. Labs Select either Fasting or Hold Medication. Select a diagnosis in the grid to associate it with the lab order. Select the appropriate lab orders. Select the Ordered by field and select the physician from the resulting list. To select a location, click the Location field. To document a time for the order, do one of the following: To select an option for an appointment, click the When field. To select a scheduled appointment, click Appt. Document Doctor Visits
You can document doctor visits by type. For ease of use, you can configure appointment locations on the Card Setup Appt Locations practice template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake - Cardiology template. Select the Cardiac Orders panel. Select Doctor Visits.The Doctor Visits template opens. Doctor Visits In Type, select a type you want to document. Note: The NGShare option is available only for those providers who have enrolled in NextGen® Share. You can select the NGShare option to access the Referrals Order template. To select an ordering physician from the resulting list, click the Ordered by field. To select an appropriate reason for the visit, click the Reason field.
