Document Doctor Visits

You can document doctor visits by type. For ease of use, you can configure appointment locations on the Card Setup Appt Locations practice template.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. Open the Intake - Cardiology template.
3. Select the Cardiac Orders panel.
4. Select Doctor Visits.
   The Doctor Visits template opens.

   

5. In Type, select a type you want to document.
   Note: The NGShare option is available only for those providers who have enrolled in NextGen® Share. You can select the NGShare option to access the Referrals Order template.
6. To select an ordering physician from the resulting list, click the Ordered by field.
7. To select an appropriate reason for the visit, click the Reason field.
8. To select a location, click the Location field.
9. To document a time for the order, do one of the following.
   • To select an option for an appointment, click the When field.
   • To select a scheduled appointment, click Appt.
10. Select a diagnosis in the grid to associate it with the order.
11. Select Add and then select Done.
