field and select a specialty.
Note:
All the previously added values for a selected specialty displays on the
Custom Navigation
section.
Select the entry from the data grid.
The previously added values for the selected entry appears on the respective fields.
Modify the fields with the new values.
Click

If you wish to delete a link, select a link from the grid and click
Delete Link

Add Picklist Items in the Navigation Picklist
The Navigation Picklist section allows you to add, update, and delete the navigational picklist. On the Custom Navigation practice template, navigate to the Navigation Picklist section. Any preloaded picklist for the selected specialty display in the grid. Enter or select the appropriate values. This table lists the fields you use to create the picklist options: Field Description Picklist Name The Picklist Name field is the name that is selected to attach the picklist with a link in the custom navigation list. Picklist Value The Picklist Value field is the name that appear on the picklist that displays when the link is clicked. Template Launched The Template Launched field is the name of the template that launches when the picklist value is selected. Link Order The Link Order field specifies the order of the picklist values in the picklist pop-up template. Click Add Picklist Item. Copy Navigation Items to Another Practice
On the Custom Navigation template, you can copy an existing navigation items from one practice to another. In the Custom Navigation section, navigate to the Copy Navigation section. Click the From Practice field and select the source practice from the picklist. Click the To Practice field and select the practice to which the navigation items are to be copied. Modify an Existing Navigation Picklist Item
On the Custom Navigation practice template, navigate to the Navigation Picklist section. Any preloaded picklist for the selected specialty display in the grid. Select a picklist item from the data grid. The previously added values for the selected picklist appears on the respective fields above the data grid. Modify the fields with the new values. Add New Links to the Navigation Bar
The Navigation bar is located on the left side of standard NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine, It can launch additional templates that may not be a part of the main workload or to return back to templates within the main workload. The navigation bar slides in and out of view depending on when it is needed. It can also be pinned to the side of the window, so it displays until you change to another template. The list of templates in the navigation bar is based on the specialty being used in the patient encounter. On the Custom Navigation practice template, click in the Specialty field and select a specialty. Note: All the previously added values for a selected specialty displays on the Custom Navigation section. Enter or select the appropriate values. Access the Custom Navigation Practice Template
From the File menu, select System\Practice Template. The Select Template list opens. Click the Practice tab. In the Show section, click the All option. A list of practice level templates opens. Display of Links and Picklists in NextGen Adaptive Content Engine
If you select a patient, open a specialty with any visit type and expand the left Navigation bar, you see the links added in the Custom Navigation practice template. Note: If you have a patient chart open, when you were editing the information in the templates launched from the navigation bar.
