Add Members Through NPI Registry Lookup

You can add Clinical professional or Agency/Organization to a practice care team or a patient care team through the NPI Registry Search window. Selecting a member from the NPI Registry Search generates available member details. Adding a member from NPI Registry Search saves member details in the NextGen database. On the Care Team Configuration template, enter the care team details. Select a participant type. Select NPI registry lookup .The NPI Registry Search window opens. NPI Registry Search window Enter any member information you have and then select Search.The search result appears in the grid below. Add Patient Care Teams

You can create a patient care team and add participants to the team from the Care Team Members template. You can also add a practice care team as one of the participants of the patient care team. From the Care Team Members template, in the Patient Care Team section, enter a care team name. Select a care team status. By default, the status of the care team is Active. Set the active and inactive date and time of the practice care team. By default, the active date and time is the current date and time. To add a participant to the care team, select a participant type and then do one of the following: In Clinical professional or Agency/Organizations, select a member from the NPI Registry lookup and then add/edit the participant details in the corresponding fields or import a practice care team. Select Other and enter the corresponding details. Note: You cannot add/edit the address details for the Clinical professional or Agency/Organization participant type. Practice Care Team

Practice care teams consist of clinical professionals and agency/organizations who are assembled to provide team care for patients. A practice would typically have multiple care teams defined to address specific needs and you can import the practice care teams to a patient care team. Prior to importing practice care teams to a patient care team, you must configure the practice care teams using the Practice Team Configuration template accessible. When you have configured the practice care team, you can import the practice care team to a patient care team using the Care Team Members template. When you import a practice care team to a patient care team, all the members of the practice care team will become the members of the patient care team in bulk. Add Practice Care Team

You can create a practice care team and add members to the team from the Practice Team Configuration panel of the Care Team Configuration template. To create a practice care team, you must add at least one member to the care team and there is no restriction on the maximum number of members that you can add. You can add two types of participants to a practice care team: Clinical professional and Agency/Organization. From the Care Team Configuration template, enter the care team name. Care Team Configuration template Select a care team status.By default, the status of the care team is Active. To update the active and inactive date and time of the practice care team, enter the details in the corresponding fields.By default, the active date and time is the current date and time. Update Patient Care Team

You can update status, active and inactive details, and member details of a patient care team. From the Care Team Members template, in the Patient Care Team section, filter by the care team name and select a care team from the Care Team Details grid. The details of care team and its members appear in the corresponding fields. To update the care team details, edit the status and/or active and inactive dates. To update the care team member details, edit the status and/or active and inactive dates, and role or function. Note: If the participant type is Other, then you can edit a member's address details from the Care Team Configuration template. Click Update.
