Import Exception Measures

Open the Provider CQM Maintenance template.
Navigate to the Exception Maintenance panel.

Note: The administrator should have read-only access to the folder that stores the csv. file. For more information on folder permission, go to Microsoft® website.
Enter the location of the csv. file in the Import Path field and click Import. For example, the file name path <folder name>\<file name>. Exceptions_Measures\import_exception_data.csv
The total number of records ready to be imported display on top right-side of the grid.

Note: If the import is not successful, the system will display an error message. Remove is enabled at the time of importing the csv. file.
Verify the import grid results with the spreadsheet.
Default Effective Date populates as 01/01/1900. If a measure has multiple exclusion items (class, type and exceptions), then the Exception Class column shows as Multiple Exception Class. All the Multiple Exception Class items display on top of the grid.

Note: Once you click Accept, the imported exclusion details get imported to the master records and display on the Exceptions/Measures template. Select I agree to update the data above to exception master records check box and click Accept.
The date, time, and user name automatically fill the respective fields. A confirmation window opens.
Note: If you click Save & Close before clicking Accept, the system shows a message that the import has not been accepted.
Click Yes.
Click Save & Close.

Import Exception Measures

Remove an Exception Measure

Open the Provider CQM Maintenance template. Navigate to the Exception Maintenance panel. Type the exclusion name in the Search Measure field to find the exclusion measure that you want to remove and click search icon. Select the exclusion measure from the grid and click Remove. Provider CMS Measures

This panel provides the ability to pick and indicate exceptions for the measures. Open the Provider CQM Maintenance system template. Click the Provider field and select a name from the list. The default option in the System field is CMS. Click the Measure number field and select a value from the list. The Measure short description field automatically fills the information based on the selected measure. In the Default exception class field, click and select an option from the list. Click the Default exception description and select an option from the list. Click Add/Update. The record appears in the grid and displays confirmation text. Copy Provider Measures to Another Provider

You can copy measures configured for one provider to another provider. Open the Provider CQM Maintenance template. Navigate to the Copy Provider Measures panel. Copy Provider Measures The grid lists the total number of measures configured for each provider. When you copy the measure from one provider to the other, the measure count changes to match the measure count of the provider whose measures were copied. Click the Copy from field and select a source provider from the picklist. The measures defined for the selected provider will be copied to the target provider. The System field populates based on the selection. Click the Copy to field and select a target provider. The measures from the source provider will be copied to the target provider, overwriting any measures currently defined for the target provider. Exception Maintenance

Using the Exception Maintenance panel on the Provider CQM Maintenance template, you can import a spreadsheet with measure details, update the Effective Date and Expiration Date for each measure, and remove a record from the grid. If one measure has multiple exclusion items, then you can filter the appropriate exclusion details using the Exception Class, Exception Type, and Exception fields. Document Registry-Based Exceptions

You can document a registry based exception. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To open the Exception/Measures template, do one of the following: In the navigation bar, select the Exceptions/Measures link. On the Finalize template in the CPT II Claims Based Measure Reporting panel, select the Exceptions/Measures link. Exceptions/Measures For Display, select one of the following: Provider Measures Exceptions (current template) Exceptions (all) Select a measure in the grid.The details of the selected measure appear in the Measure Details and Exception Management sections. Viewing Exceptions and Measures

You can manage exceptions and view measure details on the Exceptions/Measures template. You can open the Exceptions/Measures template from the navigation bar or from the CPT II Claims Based Reporting panel on the Finalize template. You can view the following types of exceptions and measures on the Exception/Measures template: Registry-based measures Procedure coded measures Custom data mapping Exception/Measures For information on how to address specific measures, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the guides for NextGen® HQM. Viewing Registry-Based Measures You can view the status and explanation of a selected registry-based measure on the top section of the Exceptions/Measures template.
