Document an Order for Diagnostic Studies

You can place a diagnostic study order with Bypass Order Module Processing turned on. You can place a diagnostic study order from the Diagnostic Studies template. Note: If Bypass Order Module Processing is not in effect, the Lab/Radiology Order Processing link appears on the Diagnostic Studies template. After you place an order, you must select the Order Module Processing link to choose the vendor and submit the order for processing. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient's record, and then open an encounter. Open the Intake template, select the specialty as Family Practice and the visit type as Office Visit, and then select My Plan. Select the Diagnostics tab.The Diagnostic Studies template opens. Enter an Order

You can enter and place an order from the My Plan or My Custom Plan template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake template or SOAP template. Expand the Orders panel and select Add Orders.Based on the setting done on the Practice Configuration template, the My Plan or My Custom Plan template opens. My Custom Plan sections If required, add an assessment.The My Plan template is part of a group of templates that use the last assessment or diagnosis selected on any of the templates in the group as the working assessment. The system defaults to the current working assessment. You can select another assessment, which becomes the new working assessment that carries forward to the other templates in the group. Add Orders on the Order Management Template

You can add orders from the Order Management template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Home Page template, select the Order Management link.The Order Management template opens. Place Orders from the My Plan Template

You can place orders for the patient using the My Plan template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template.The Care Guidelines Paged View template opens. In the Care Guidelines panel, select the Grid View link.The Care Guidelines grid view template opens. Expand the Recent Orders panel and select Add. The My Plan template opens. My Plan The My Plan template displays order items in the set appropriate for the selected assessment’s diagnosis category. To use a different template in the orders set, select the tab corresponding to the template to use (for example, Labs or Diagnostics). To add or change a diagnosis in the Today's Assessments grid, select Add or Edit.
