Community Resources

The Community Resource Setup template enables you to document local resources and supports recommended to the patient to aid in meeting the patients' psychosocial needs. Community resources for your area must first be configured on the Community Resource Setup practice template. A printout of recommended resources can be given to the patient at checkout. You can access the Community Resource Setup template from the following locations of NextGen® Enterprise EHR: Assessment/Plan panel on the SOAP template Cardiology - SOAP template - as a sub-navigational link navigation bar Checkout template - as a sub-navigational link Document Library PRAPARE® Assessment Tool template The Community Resources template contains the All Resources and the Patient's Resources grids. Based on the information entered on the Community Resource Setup practice template, the application displays data such as Type, Resource, and Address in the All Resources grid. Record Community Resources Discussed with Patients

You can record the community resources details that you have discussed with patients. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. For a patient encounter, open a template. For example, Intake To open the navigation bar, select Navigation. Select Community Resources. The Community Resources template opens. Community Resources Review the available resources in the All Resources grid. To filter the grid by a specific type of community resource, in the Type field, select a value from the list. To add the resource to the Patient's Resources grid, do one of the following: In the All Resources grid, select the resource, and then select Include selected resource. Select the Automatically perform "Include" or "Remove" action on row select check box, and then in the All Resources grid, select the resource. The community resource item is added to the Patient's Resources grid. To view community resources discussed in previous visits, select the Prior visits option. Select Save & Close. Accessing and Setting up Templates from Navigation Bar

You can access and configure various templates in the Navigation bar. The navigation bar consists of links for quick navigation. You can generate notes, open templates, document a patient's education and health data, manage referral and orders, and so on. Based on the configuration done on the Custom Navigation template, the links appear on the navigation bar. Open the PRAPARE Assessment Tool

You can open the PRAPARE® assessment tool from multiple locations. Before you begin To enable the PRAPARE® link in the Social panel of the Histories template and the History Summary panel of the Intake and SOAP templates, you must configure the PRAPARE® in the Practice Configuration template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient record and create an encounter. To open the PRAPARE® Assessment Tool template, do one of the following: Open the Intake template, expand the History Summary panel, and then select PRAPARE®. Open the Histories template, expand the Social panel, and then select PRAPARE®. On the SOAP template, expand the History panel, and then select PRAPARE®. In the Encounter History tab, select Open Template to open the Select Template window. Select the Medical Records tab. Under the Show section, select All. Configure the PRAPARE® Crystal Report

You can configure a patient's start and stop age, diagnoses, and referral list to be included in the PRAPARE® report generated from SAP Crystal Reports software. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Practice Configuration, and then select OK.The Practice Configuration template opens. Expand the PRAPARE® Crystal Report Configuration panel. Select the age range for the patient. To configure the patient's diagnosis data in the PRAPARE® report, select the Dx Groups/Problem Groups/Reference Systems link.You can configure the diagnosis data for the PRAPARE® report in the PR Crystal Report reference system. Documenting Dental Patient Encounters

You can use the Home Page and Histories templates in NextGen Adaptive Content Engine to document the encounter details of a dental patient. The Dental User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine is intended for dental professionals, such as providers, nurses, and front office staff, responsible for documenting and processing patient information. The Dental User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine also provides information on how to document pediatric dental care. You can document the dental office and virtual visit workflows on the Home Page and Histories templates. Before documenting a standard visit, you must configure settings to quickly access the templates. The common configurations associated with the templates include the links in the navigation bar, reasons for visit, medications, allergies, social history and so on.
