Selecting Colposcopy Visits

You can find the best practices for documentation of a Colposcopy visit. For a colposcopy visit, you can open the Home Page template, and select the Gynecology specialty and Colposcopy Visit visit type, and then proceed with the intake and provider workflow. For more information on the Intake and Provider workflows, you can see General Office and Virtual Visit Workflow. Document Colposcopy Procedures You can document the colposcopy procedure details in the Colposcopy panel on the Colposcopy - Procedure template. Open the Colposcopy Procedure Template

You can document the colposcopy, cryo, and LEEP procedures on the Gyn Colposcopy-Procedure template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the SOAP template, select the Procedures link. The Procedures template opens. In Genitourinary, select Colposcopy. The Colposcopy – Procedure template opens. Colposcopy – Procedure template Document the Pre-Procedure Details for Colposcopy You can document the pre-procedure details in the Pre- Procedure section on the Gyn Colposcopy-Procedure template. Colposcopy Panel Document the Cryotherapy Procedure Details You can document Cryotherapy procedure details in the Cryo panel on the Colposcopy - Procedure template. Document the LEEP Procedure Details You can document additional details of the Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (LEEP) procedures in the LEEP panel on the Colposcopy - Procedure template. Draw Cervix Findings

You can draw the cervix findings on the image using the Cervix link on the Procedure template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Intake template, select the Procedures link. The Procedures template opens. In Genitourinary, select the Cervix link next to the Colposcopy link. The Cervix Image template opens. Cervix Image You can use the drawing tools to document your findings. Note: You can also open the Cervix image in the Findings section of the Colposcopy Procedure template and document the site number, lesion description, and add the details to the grid. Draw your findings on the image with the drawing tools. Select Save on the top toolbar. The Save Image File window opens. Enter the image description. Draw Vagina Findings

You can draw the Vagina findings on the image using the Vagina link on the Procedure template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Intake template, select the Procedures link. The Procedures template opens. In Genitourinary, select the Vagina link next to the Colposcopy link. Note: You can also open the Vagina image in the Findings section on the Colposcopy Procedure template. The Vagina Image template opens. Vagina Image Draw your findings on the image with the drawing tools. Select Save. The Save Image File window opens. Enter the image description. Save Image File Select OK. Document the Post-Procedure Details for Colposcopy

You can document the post-procedure details of a Colposcopy procedure in the Post-Procedure section on the Colposcopy - Procedure template. The Post-Procedure section of the Gyn Colposcopy-Procedure template, enables you to document post-procedure details. The Post-Procedure section of the Colposcopy - Procedure template Open the Colposcopy – Procedure template. In the Post-Procedure section, select the procedure and add any modifiers. Optional: Select the Bill for surgical tray checkbox. Select the number of days or weeks for the follow-up checkup or the date. Note: If you select the time interval for the next check up, the date automatically appears in Date. Select the pap test time interval or pap test date. Note: If you select the time interval for the pap test in Pap, the test date automatically appears in Date. Select Place Order. Document the Pre-Procedure Details for Colposcopy

You can document the pre-procedure details in the Pre- Procedure section on the Gyn Colposcopy-Procedure template. Open the Colposcopy – Procedure template. In the Pre-Procedure section, enter the details for Date of last Pap, Pap Interpretation, Date of last colposcopy, Biopsy result, HPV test date, HPV details, ECC date, and ECC result. The Pre- Procedure section of the Colposcopy-Procedure template In Pregnancy test, select the result. Under Pre-procedure meds, select the checkboxes for the applicable medications or enter other medication names in Other. Under Pre-procedure care, select the checkboxes for the applicable care provided. Select the Consent link and do the following in the Consent - Procedure template to obtain the procedure consent. Select the provider. In Consent by, select the person's name who consented to the procedure. Select the procedure type and date.If the date is not fixed, select the To be scheduled in the near future checkbox. Optional: Select the Procedure
