Physical Exam Panel
The Physical Exam panel displays a list of exam categories in the left pane. These items are customizable by specialty or by provider. The One Page Exam link opens the Derm General - PE template where you can document the patient's physical exam. You can also access the system-specific physical exam templates by accessing the links in the left pane. If the required system is not available in the left pane, you click the Additional link and select a system from the picklist. Click the Office Diagnostic button below the Physical Exam grid to launch the Office Services template to place orders for the tests. When you click the Physical Exam History button, the Historical Information window opens. You can copy the previous physical exam records to the current encounter by using the Copy Physical Exam & Close button. Open the Physical Exam Templates
You can open the physical exam template to document the normal and abnormal physical exam details. Open the SOAP template. In the Physical Exam panel, select a specialty-specific physical exam in the left pane. The physical exam template opens. Patient's Physical Exam
You can examine a patient and document the associated information using the Physical Exam panel that displays a list of exam categories. The links that appear are configurable by specialty or by provider. The Physical Exam panel displays the system name, followed by exam findings, and the details. On Physical Exam, you can use the One Page Exam link in the left pane to open the One Page-Physical Exam template, which enables you to document the complete physical exam details on a single template. You can also document a single system exam. Physical Exam panel You can select the Office Diagnostics button to open the Office Services template to view or enter the various diagnostic tests and results. You can configure the physical exam systems in the Framework Content system template. Based on the configuration, the systems appear on Physical Exam of SOAP. Physical Exam for Well Child
You can examine a patient and document the information in the Physical Exam panel on the Pediatric SOAP template. In the Physical Exam panel, you can do the following: Use the One Page Exam link to document a complete exam on a single template or click the single system exams from the left pane and its submenu. When you click the single system exam or its submenu, it opens the respective template. Select a system from the list if the applicable system does not appear in the left pane using the Additional link. The physical exam template associated with the selected system appears to document the appropriate physical exam findings. Use the Office Diagnostics button to document or review diagnostics. Document Exam Findings with GET
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Intake template, select the Specialty as Dermatology and the Visit Type as Office Visit. In the Reason for Visit panel, select a reason for visit. To open the Graphical Exam Tool template, click the GET tab. On the Graphical Exam Tool template, the Reason for Visit pane shows the first reason for visit and you can do the following in the pane: Use the right arrow to display the next reason for visit. Use the left arrow (when enabled) to display the previous reason for visit. Note: You can add all the findings for a visit on a single reason for visit, or you can add the appropriate findings for each reason for visit. The right arrow is enabled if there are additional reasons for the visit. Select the areas examined on the Areas Examined panel. Click a finding in the FINDINGS list and then click the locations on the image where that finding appears.As you add findings, a record for each finding is added to the Reason for Visit grid beneath the image.

Document a Physical Exam
The One Page Exam template is used to document a physical exam. Physical Exam panel You can examine a patient and document the information in the Physical Exam panel on the SOAP template. In the Physical Exam panel, you can do the follwing: Use the One Page Exam to document the exam on the Gyn-PE template. On the Gyn-PE select the Normal checkbox to indicate normal findings for each system or click the Findings field to add any abnormal findings. Use other single system exam and its sub menu in the left pane to document the corresponding exam details. When you click the single system exam or its sub menu, the respective template opens. Use the Office Diagnostics button to document or review diagnostics and to place orders for the tests. Use the Quick Load or Quick Save button to load a saved default set or save a new default set.
