Configure the Default Visit Specialty Mapping

You can map the providers to a default specialty. You can also create multiple mappings based on the practice and location.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. Open the Framework Content system template.
3. Select the Default Visit Specialty panel.
4. In the grid, select a row.
   The provider, practice, location, and default visit specialty fill the fields on the grid.
5. Select the Practice field.
6. Select the Location field.
7. Select the Default Visit Specialty field.
8. To save the selected options, select Update.
9. To view the default visit specialties mapped to all the rendering providers at the practice, select the filter by practice field.
10. To view the default visit specialties mapped to the rendering provider, select the filter by provider field.
11. Save and close the template.
