Remove an Entry from the Inventory Panel

In the Inventory panel, you can remove an inventory entry from the grid. On the Equipment Log practice template, expand the Inventory panel. Select the applicable row in the grid. Click Remove. The selected row removes from the grid. Parent topic: Configure Inventory for an Equipment

Edit the Entries in the Inventory Panel

In the Inventory panel, you can modify the entries of the equipment details in the grid. On the Equipment Log practice template, expand the Inventory panel. Select a row in the grid. The corresponding values in the left panes and the right grid select with an asterisk (*). Select a new value. To remove a selection, re-select the value. The asterisk (*) clears indicating that the values are not selected. Click Update. The modified data updates in the grid. Parent topic: Configure Inventory for an Equipment

Configure Inventory for an Equipment

In the Inventory panel, you can group the individual pieces of equipment with the associated description that are tagged for inventory reference in the Category panel. In run time, when a category and description that are associated with a piece of equipment in the Inventory panel are selected, the system auto-selects the other characteristics for that piece of equipment. For example, if you select a scope as the equipment type, select a serial number as the category, and then the value 123456, the system will find the inventory grid for the scope with serial number 123456. The system also finds that the Manufacturer for the scope with the serial number 123456 and the associated model number. In run time, the system auto-selects the Manufacturer as XYZ and model number as xxx-xxx. Note: : You need to select the Inventory reference check box for the equipment and associated category in the Categories panel. On the Equipment Log practice template, expand the Categories panel. Click Equipment type to open a list of the pre-configured equipment types available in the grid and select an equipment type from the list. Double-click the top blank row in the list and enter a new equipment type in the Equipment type field, if the options in the list are not relevant. The Equipment type short description field auto-populates with the same value selected/entered in the Equipment type field. Click Category to open a list of categories pre-configured for the selected equipment type and select a category from the list. Double-click the top blank row in the list and enter a new category in the Category field, if the options in the list are not relevant. Add a Description for Equipment Type Template

On the Equipment Log practice template, expand the Equipment Log panel. Select an Equipment Type from the first left pane. The associated categories appear in the second left pane. Select a Categoryfrom the second pane. In Description, enter a description to be associated with the selected equipment type and category. In Short Description, enter a short description for the description to appear as the navigational tab in run time. Click Selection type and select any of the following options from the list: Mutually Exclusive: In run time, you cannot select any additional descriptions for the category. Multiple Choice : In run time, you can select additional descriptions for the category. Click Value Type 1 and select any of the following options from the list: Number Pad: In run time, a number pad opens when you select the description. Configure Equipment Details

In the Equipment Log panel, you can add a description for equipment based on the selected category. The Equipment Log panel includes the buttons described in the table. Previous Level - Moves back to the previous level if you have more than one level for a Description. The button is unavailable if you are at the first level of the description. You need to highlight a row in the grid and click the Previous Level button to view the previous level of the description. Next Level - Moves to the next level if you have more than one level for a Description. The button is unavailable if you access the last level of the description. You need to select a row in the grid and click the Next Level button to view the next level of the description.
