Conduct the Custom Plan AOE Questionnaire

You can document the Ask at Order Entry (AOE) questions in the Procedure AOE template.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. Open a patient's record, and then open an encounter.
3. Open the Intake template, select the specialty as Family Practice and the visit type as Office Visit, and then select My Plan.
   The My Custom Plan window opens.
4. In the My Plan panel, highlight a diagnosis and select Add.
   The plan type details appear on the Pending Orders grid.
5. Select AOE to open the Procedure AOE template.
   If additional information is required, the corresponding (Procedure or Labs) AOE template opens. If no AOEs are indicated, an alert appears.
6. To update the AOE questionnaire, do the following:
   1. Select an option from the AOE Selection grid.
   2. Edit the Category, Sub Category, and the Description.
   3. Select Update.
7. Select Place Order.
