Complete the General Panel of the BH Psychiatric Evaluation

To access the BH - Psychiatric Evaluation do one of the following: Click the Psychiatry Eval tab. Click Psychiatric Evaluation from the navigation bar. Navigate to the General panel and click the Program name field. Program names can be added and/or edited by the practice on the Custom Picklists Setup, system template. Select the appropriate name from the list. Click the clock button to enter the current time in the Start field. The Start and End buttons are available here and at the bottom of the Psychiatric Eval tab in the Behavioral health billing section. The values documented in either place are immediately reflected in the same fields in the other section. Entered times can be modified by clicking in the field. Verify and Generate Documents

As a front office staff, you can verify patient details and generate the patient checkout document. You can perform the following checkout processes in the Checkout template: Review and/or process all orders. Generate lab and/or radiology requisitions, if required. Generate referral documents, if needed. Schedule future appointments as ordered. Generate Patient Plan and Checkout documents, if required. From an encounter, select Templates Template Icon. The Select Template window opens. On the Medical Records tab, select All. A list of all medical record templates appears. Select the Finalize (BH) template. Select the Checkout Popup link. The Checkout Popup (BH) window opens. Checkout Popup Window Expand the Given to Patient/Verified panel. Given to Patient/Verified Panel Review, and then select the corresponding Yes or Refused checkbox. Clinical Impression/Plan Panel

Complete relevant fields in the Clinical Impression/Plan panel. Clinical Impression/Plan panel Enter a date for Patient Follow-Up if required. Note: You can configure the Patient Follow-up date to be required, on the Practice Config practice template. Select the Sign Off checkbox. The screening document is generated automatically. Once you sign off on the template, the patient is added to the Screening Worklog. If a Patient Follow-up date was entered, a task is sent to the therapist at midnight on the date of the follow-up, as a reminder to contact the patient. Enter Plan Information

Entering a plan includes documenting Management (for example, medications, office procedures, DME), Diagnostics (procedures, tests, labs, consults) Instructions to the patient, and Printed Materials given to the patient. This panel also has an area to enter Verbal Counseling and one to designate Next Visit time frame and X-rays. The fields (except Verbal Counseling) are picklist-driven and configurable in the Picklist Configuration template. You can enter data in these ways: Click fields to select items from configurable picklists. Click on the star or double star icon in the QuickPick Toolbar at the top of the Non-Billable Visit template to load a template default. Type text in the Verbal Counseling fields to describe verbal counseling. Once all information has been entered, sign off on the template (if not utilizing PAQ functionality) and click the Finalize button to open the Finalize Visit template to submit charges. Create Patient Plan Data

To specify an order, do one of the following: Click the Lab orders field to select an order from picklist. Select the top blank row to free text an entry in the field. If required, select the Appropriate post injection instructions given option. Select the option to Schedule follow-up visit. In the Timeframe field, click to enter the recommended amount of time in which the patient should return. Click the Follow-up with field to type provider’s name. To specify a reason, do one of the following: Select For injection/aspiration next to the Reason(s) for next visit field. Click the Other field and then select a reason from the picklist. You can also click the top row in the list to type a reason in the field. To email instructions and process the order, click Place Order to open the Select Task Recipients window. Click Submit to Superbill. Note: The option changes to Procedures Submitted in a red font to indicate that charges are successfully entered. Parent topic: Patient Plan Data

Pre Visit Planning

You can use the Pre Visit Planning template to review a patient's chart and take appropriate steps to be prepared for an upcoming patient visit. Pre Visit Planning The Pre Visit Planning template enables clinical staff to handle administrative tasks before a patient's appointment. Managing Patient Care Guidelines You can manage the patient care guidelines and track the administrative tasks on the Work List panel. Reviewing Assessment and Plan History You can review the assessment and plan details of a patient during a visit. Bookmarking Documents and Images You can bookmark a patient's documents and images for quick reference. Viewing Communication Details On the Pre Visit Planning template, you can view a patient's communication details like phone calls, appointments, and outstanding tasks.
