Care Coordination Home Page

The Care Coordination home page provides a focal point for patient care information gathered from all members of the patient care team and available for review by those team members. Using the home page, you can: Identify the members of the patient care team and define their roles. You can also make changes to the team as needed. The Care Coordination home page is the only location where team members can be defined and the definition modified. When you define an intervention, you must identify a team member who is responsible for that intervention. Enter, review and modify referral information. Identify barriers to care such as patient disabilities and other issues that impact the patient’s ability to comply with a nursing care plan. Disclosing Substance Use Disorder in Documents and Reports

You can include the disclosure for Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) 42 CFR Part 2 provisions in documents and reports that you generate. If your practice provides treatment for substance use disorder, you must include the long form or short form of disclosure for Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) 42 CFR Part 2 provisions in the documents and reports that you generate. You need to set up the Record contains substance use disorder information option on encounter-level templates by selecting the long form or short form of disclosure on the Practice Configuration practice template. This checkbox appears on the Intake, Histories, SOAP, Finalize, and Checkout templates. Behavioral Health Billing Section

The Behavioral health billing section enables a provider to document time-based charges in the NextGen® Enterprise application. Once configured, when the user selects the Service performed by checkbox in the Behavioral health billing section, a stored procedure fills the mapped Behavioral Health service in the Service code and Service description fields. Service codes are configured on the Service Code Mapping system template. Practices can review and copy the code mappings packaged in this release. The system template looks at elements such as payer, visit type, licensure of the provider and others to generate a short list of billing codes or a single code to be used. The advantage of having the billing section work in conjunction with the Service Code Mapping system template is that it negates the clinical user from having to go to the Finalize template to manually enter the service code. Refer to the Behavioral Health Configuration Options section of this guide for more information.
