Enter Practice-Specific Types for the Provider List
Under EHR Master Files - System, click Providers to open the Providers List window. Double-click the provider name from the list that is being updated. On the Modify Provider Information window, select the Provider Types tab. Click in the second column under Practice Level Provider Types to place a green check mark next to the required types. Change Provider Service Level
In File Maintenance, from Master Files > System > EHR, select Providers. The Providers List window opens. Double-click the provider you want to change the service level for. On the Modify Provider Information window, select the ePrescribing tab. In the Retail Service Level section, select the appropriate service levels. Create a New Service Code Mapping
On the Service Code Mapping system template, click the Practice field and select the desired Practice Name. The values you establish apply only to the selected practice. Click the Payer field and select the payer configured in NextGen File Maintenance. Enter the Visit type and Licensure. Note: The Licensure field is optional/informational. The Licensure list is configured in the Custom DBpicklist system template. For more information on how to configure Licensure, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the Custom DB Picklists System Template for NextGen Adaptive Content Engine. Click the Service code or Service description field and select a service to be mapped to the selected practice for billing. Note: The values in the Service Item Mstr picklist are configured in a Service Categories Master File called Behavioral Health. Add a Patient Provider
Open the Person Information or Patient Information window for the desired person or patient. Select the Provider tab. Select the Open Menu button, and select New. The Add Patient Provider window appears. In the Preference Name field, select a user-defined provider type. This field is required. Note: Items available for selection are from Practice Preferences, Providers. In the Provider field, do one of the following. This field is required. Select a provider from the list. Select the search button to access the Provider Lookup window, and find the provider. Note: Providers available for selection are those that are flagged with the selected Preference Name in the Providers master file in File Maintenance. In the Effective Date field, enter a start date for the selected patient provider in mm/dd/yyyy format, if applicable. In the Expiration Date field, enter an end date for the selected patient provider in mm/dd/yyyy format, if applicable. If an expiration date was entered, select an Ex
