Add Cardiology Visit Types

You can add a Cardiology visit type using the VISIT TYPE section on the Card Setup Visit Types template.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. Open the Card Setup Visit Types template.
3. In the VISIT TYPE section, enter the name of the visit type and its abbreviation.
4. In EM Requirement, select the number of criteria that needs to be met for Evaluation and Management (E&M) coding.
5. To indicate an associated service location, select Hospital or Office.
6. To indicate that a referral source is required, select Y or N.
7. To indicate that the E&M coding criteria are defined as per the 2021 E&M coding guidelines, select Yes.
8. Click Add.
