Complete the Tuberculin Skin Test
You need to document tuberculin skin test reaction within 48 to72 hours. If the patient does not follow up within 72 hours then you need to reschedule for another skin test. Open Intake - Dermatology template. Expand the Orders panel and click Tuberculin Skin Test. The Tuberculin Skin Test template opens. In the Follow up section, to generate the TST test result document, click TST Result. In the Follow up section, do the following if the patient misses the appointment. Select the appropriate check boxes. Reminder call made to patient Patient did not show for TST reading Missed appointment letter sent To generate the missed TST appointment document, click Missed TST Appt. Document Tuberculin Skin Test
The tuberculin skin test is a common method to determine tuberculosis. This test determines whether a person has been infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis by measuring the body's immune response to tuberculosis has been stimulated. Open Intake - Dermatology template. Expand the Orders panel and click Tuberculin Skin Test.The Tuberculin Skin Test template opens. In the Risk assessment section, document the BCG immunization and country of origin details. To document additional details on the risk assessment, click TB Risk Assessment. Select an appropriate diagnosis from the Today's Assessment grid or add an assessment. To add an assessment, click Add Tuberculin Skin Test Assessment. Select the appropriate diagnosis from the resulting window.The selected diagnosis is added to Today's Assessment grid. In the Orders section, do the following: Select the type of order. Document Tuberculin Skin Test
A person taking the tuberculin skin test must return within 48 to 72 hrs to be verified by the provider or a trained health care worker. This test is a preferred TB test for children under five years of age. Also, note that a person who is vaccinated with BCG may get a false positive reaction to a tuberculin skin test. Access Dermatology
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient or create a patient encounter. To open the Templates module on a patient encounter, do one of the following: On the Categories or Encounter History tab, select Open Template. On Top Toolbar, select Templates. On the main menu, select File > New > Template. The Select Template window opens. Select Home Page - Dermatology, and then click OK.The Home Page Dermatology template opens. To review the page, select the Visit Type. From the navigation bar at the top of the Home Page - Dermatology template, you can access the Dermatology framework templates like Intake, Histories, GET, SOAP, Finalize, and Checkout. Open the Provider Test Action Template
You can open the Provider Test Action template to document and view a patient's appointment and contact information. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Document Exam Findings with GET
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Intake template, select the Specialty as Dermatology and the Visit Type as Office Visit. In the Reason for Visit panel, select a reason for visit. To open the Graphical Exam Tool template, click the GET tab. On the Graphical Exam Tool template, the Reason for Visit pane shows the first reason for visit and you can do the following in the pane: Use the right arrow to display the next reason for visit. Use the left arrow (when enabled) to display the previous reason for visit. Note: You can add all the findings for a visit on a single reason for visit, or you can add the appropriate findings for each reason for visit. The right arrow is enabled if there are additional reasons for the visit. Select the areas examined on the Areas Examined panel. Click a finding in the FINDINGS list and then click the locations on the image where that finding appears.As you add findings, a record for each finding is added to the Reason for Visit grid beneath the image.
