Create a Suboxone Treatment and Other Programs

Set up a Practice Security Group called Suboxone Treatment Program in System Administrator, and associate the users that must have access to the group.
Using template editor, add Suboxone Treatment Program to the picklist on the Treatment Program field of the p_opiate_treatment_setup template.
Configure the Suboxone treatment phases and rules in the Opiate Treatment Program Setup template.
Create a Suboxone Treatment Program visit type, using SQL, to insert a record in the Visit Type table.
The client should then create billing rules for Suboxone Treatment Program by using the Service Code Mapping panel on the BH Foundations Configuration template, so that the right billing codes are associated with the Suboxone Treatment Program visit type.
The Opiate Treat Progress Note (BH) can be used by clinicians.
The clinician can treat the patient and bill per the defined phases and treatment level rules for the Suboxone Treatment Program.

Configure Opiate Treatment Phases

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select File > System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window appears with the system-related templates. Select the Practice tab, and then select All. The list of all the practice templates appears. Select Opiate Treatment Program Setup, and then select OK. The Opiate Treatment Program Setup template opens. Open the Opiate Treatment Program Setup template. Select a treatment program. Expand the Opiate Treatment Phases panel. Opiate Treatment Phases Panel Select the location and number of phases. Enter a description of the location-specific phase. Enter the minimum number of days required for a medication phase. Optional: To remove data from all the fields, select Clear. Select Add. Configure Opiate Treatment Rules

You can configure multiple rules for a phase. Open the Opiate Treatment Program Setup template. Expand the Opiate Treatment Rules panel. Opiate Treatment Rules Panel Select the location and number of phases. The description of the selected phase appears in the Description field. Enter a rule name. Remove a Patient Record from the Opiate Treatment Active Patient List

Opiate Treatment Support

Opiate treatment programs are supported as part of Outpatient Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services. Several templates are available to help clinicians who treat patients suffering from opiate addictions. As a clinician, you can review and manage caseloads in the Opiate Treatment Clinician Management practice template. You can view a patient’s treatment history in the Opiate Treatment Program demographic template. Finally, complete documentation of treatment progress in the Opiate Treat Progress Note (BH) template. The default program option is a Methadone Treatment Program, but you can set up other treatment programs such as Suboxone.
