Provide Secondary Approval

A Signature Required task in your Inbox indicates you have documentation to review for secondary approval. From your Inbox, select the Signature Required task. Note: Due date, client name and template name are displayed to assist in locating the appropriate task. For signature tasks, the due date is the encounter date for easy reference. Select Chart. The client’s chart opens to the template listed in the description that has the documentation to approve. From the Signature (Tasking Supervisor/Staff for review and signoff) panel, select in the first field to select your approval role and then select OK. If your specific role is not listed, choose the role that most closely describes your role for this documentation. However, if you are not configured for other roles, then select Staff. Your name and the current date and time display in the respective fields. To enter a title, select in the remaining field and enter free text. Request Secondary Approval

If you need to request secondary approval or signature attestation, use this process to submit the request to your approver. From the Signature (Tasking Supervisor/Staff for review and signoff) panel, select the Send Task. The Select Task Recipients window opens. Signature (Tasking Supervisor/Staff for review and signoff) panel From the Available Users/Workgroups panel, select a recipient or workgroup and select Add >> to move to the Task Recipients panel. You can enter assessment information for the current encounter using the Assessment/Diagnosis panel. The table provides information about the functions available in the Assessment/Diagnosis panel. Document Information about Individuals Present during an Assessment

You can document details about the individuals present during the patient's assessment. On the assessment template, expand the Individuals Present panel. Select the contact from Contact Type. Information in POS Description and Code is filled in automatically. Select the reason for contact. Indicate whether the individual is present and, if not, enter the reason for the absence. If other individuals are present, select Others present, and then enter information about those individuals. To enter information about a support resource person, select Add. In the Guardian Info window, do the following: In the Patient Relationship/Support Role section, enter information about the relationship with the foster child. Enter the support person's role, name, and dates for the support period. In the Residence section, enter the primary and secondary addresses. Enter details about the primary and secondary communication and the representation timeframe. Select Save. The relationship details are saved

Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Workflows

In workflows for intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), intellectual disability and other disabilities are present. Examples of developmental disabilities include autism, behavior disorders, brain injury, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, fetal alcohol syndrome, intellectual disability, and spina bifida. Tasking Supervisors and Staffs for Review and Signoff

You can use the Signature (Tasking Supervisor/Staff for review and signoff) panel to request secondary approval or attestation from another user. You can send a task to the approver requesting approval. The approver can use this panel to add their electronic signature and generate a Signature Attestation document that is separate from the template document. By having a separate document for attestation, staff can review and attest even after the client has signed the original template document with a signature pad. Note: Only use the Signature (Tasking Supervisor/Staff for review and signoff) panel when you need secondary approval. When secondary approval is not needed, skip this panel as the system electronically signs the document for the provider completing the template.
