Default 'Goals Addressed Today' filter to Program on billing notes | When selected, the default filter is set to Program for the Goals and Objectives Addressed Today filter. |
Enable Specialty/Visit Type to be configured by Program |
When selected, the Specialty and Visit type fields appear on the BH templates in the client’s chart according to the default values set on the BH Content panel. If the specialty or visit type for a client visit is different from the configured values in the BH Content panel, you can select Specialty or Visit Type .

Enable Individuals Present selection to drive Place of Service on billing templates | When selected, the Individuals Present panel displays two additional fields, POS Description and Code. After you select Contact Type, the POS Description and Code fields display the Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2 information configured in the BH Content panel on the BH Configuration Foundation template. When selected, the override POS fields appear in the Individuals Present panel of the NextGen® Behavioral Health Suite billing templates. When the user enters a contact type, the override POS fields become available as selections in the POS list. The selected override POS information then appears in the Charges panel, Charges grid of the generated document, and Procedures module. |
Enable Goals, Objectives and Interventions picklists | When selected, the configured lists appear for the Goal, Objective, or Intervention field in the Assessed Needs, Goals, Objectives, and Interventions panel on the Integrated Service Plan (BH) or Brief Assessment (BH) template. |
Enable Legacy DBPicklist for Goals and Objectives (Custom DB Picklist system template) | When selected, the practice may continue to use the lists used by BH templates prior to upgrading to the NextGen® Behavioral Health Suite. When selected, the Enable Goals, Objectives and Interventions picklists option is automatically turned off. |
Enable expired payer alert on Program selection | When selected, an application message appears if a user selects a program with an attached payer that is expired on the encounter date. By default, the application message is turned off. |
Enable minimum mileage limits on billing templates (Default - 25 miles) | When selected, you can select Detail to configure the minimum mileage required for billing for a practice or location on the Tis Mileage Config window. |

SAFE-T Protocol with C-SSRS Options |
When selected, providers receive additional control over the screening data. You can configure the options by selecting Details.
You must turn on the automatic calculation of the risk-level option for the user to override the system-calculated risk level. You can also change the default crisis line phone number for your practice. The number you enter in the Crisis Line Phone Number field appears on clinical notes at the end of the screening tool. |
Use SAFE-T Protocol with C-SSRS for Risk Assessment Quality Measures | When selected, the link in the Risk Assessment panel opens the SAFE-T Protocol with C-SSRS template. When not selected, the link in the Risk Assessment panel opens the C-SSRS template. |
Enable Free Text on Primary Care Provider (PCP) fields | When selected, users can enter text for the PCP fields. You can remove the selection to require users to select a provider from the provider list, which improves the consistency of the primary care provider (PCP) data throughout NextGen® Behavioral Health Suite. |
Enable Patient Safety (BH)-Program Association | When selected, the data on the Patient Safety Plan (BH) template and the generated document is specific to the encounter program. To maintain the association between the program and the safety plan on the Patient Safety Plan (BH) template, the Update and Remove options are not active if the grid program is different from the encounter program. |
Enable/Show WHODAS data on Assessment/Diagnosis | When selected, the WHO Disability Assessment Schedule (WHODAS) 2.0 data appears in the Assessment/Diagnosis panel. By default, the option is turned on. |
Enable/Show Active Diagnosis Copy Forward | When selected, the Copy Forward button appears in the Assessment/Diagnosis panel and allows providers to forward the active diagnoses from the last encounter to the Diagnosis grid. By default, the option is turned off. |
Enable/Show No Billing for Service | When turned off, the No Billing for Service checkbox does not appear in the billing templates. By default, the option is turned on. |
Patient Safety (BH): Community Resource Setup | You can document local resources and supports recommended to the patient that aid in meeting the patient's psychological needs. You must first configure community resources on the Community Resources Setup practice template. You can also provide the patient with a printed document on the recommended resources. |
Hide PMP links on Psych templates | When selected, you can enter the URL to a state-specific or other prescription monitoring website. NextGen® Enterprise EHR offers an integrated solution within the Medications module that can be used to replace this workflow. You can turn the features on or off as needed for your practice. |
Ambient Website URL | You can enter the URL with your account number to open your preferred ambient website from the Ambient Progress Note (BH) template to capture the therapy notes during the discussion with the patient. In the Ambient Weblink Label field, you can enter the label to appear on the Ambient Progress Note (BH) template. |
