Program Configuration

You can also configure the following program-related options to help your clinical process: Set program-specific Packet Navigation. Set default values for Specialty and Visit Type by program. Display the Specialty and Visit Type fields on templates by program. Make payer details as required during the client's program enrollment. Set program-specific Goals and Objectives in the patient's ISP. When a new encounter is created, the Select a Program window displays all programs the client is enrolled in. The program list displays only the current enrollment of clients on the date of the selected encounter. If a program is not available in the picklist, you must add a program for the client or ensure the existing program's open and close dates coincide with the selected encounter date. After selecting a program, the encounter is automatically updated based on your practice and program configurations. Add or Modify a Patient's Program

In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, select Open Template for an encounter.The Select Template window opens. Select the Demographics tab. Select All, and then select Demographics (BH).The Demographics (BH) template opens. In the Programs section under the Programs/COT/Treatment Adherence panel, select Level of Care, and then select an option from the list. Do one of the following: To add a program, select Add. To modify a program, select the program in the Programs grid and then select Update. To add additional programs, select Clear For Add. The tis_programs_hx window opens. Programs HX window Enter program, location, provider, open date, time, and payer information. If the patient has more than one payer, add each one. Note: You must complete the Program, Location, Open Date, and Payer fields before saving a program. Select Save. Document Court-Ordered Treatment

In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, select Open Template for an encounter. The Select Template window opens. Select the Demographics tab. Select All, and then select Demographics (BH). The Demographics (BH) template opens. From the COT section on the Programs/COT/Treatment Adherence panel, enter information in the MH, COT Type, Start Date, and End Date fields. To indicate the current status, select the Client is currently in COT checkbox. Optional: To clear the fields, select Cl. Select Add. The court-ordered treatment (COT) is displayed in the grid. Managing Patient Demographic Information

In addition, you can use the Demographics (BH) template to enroll patients in programs, document COT/treatment adherence, support roles and resources, and the patient's employment details. You can select the Special Assistance checkbox if the patient needs any special care. Selecting the checkbox opens a picklist that you can configure in the BH Foundation Configuration template. After documenting the patient’s demographic information, you can select Generate Document to generate a Demographics document. Alternatively, you can select Save & Close.
