Electronic Visit Verification
Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) using a mobile device is available for practices that use NextGen® Mobile.
The EVV feature enables clinicians who provide residential or community-based services to verify their location using their mobile device. During an encounter, the provider enters a physical address and their device’s geolocation services calculates the user's GPS coordinates. The user's detected location must be within 1,000 square feet of the entered address to be successfully verified. After the user’s location is verified, the geolocation data is delivered to the EHR and saved for the encounter. All NextGen® Behavioral Health Suite template documents generated for the encounter are automatically appended with an EVV statement containing the service address and verification status.
