Configure a DBPicklist with Picklist Values
Open the
BH Foundation Configuration
template, and then expand the
BH DBPicklists
panel.
To make the practice-specific picklist, select
Practice
.
Note:
If you want a picklist to be available to the entire enterprise, leave the
Practice
field blank.
Enter the name and comments for the picklist, and then select
Add
.
The DBPicklist name appears in the
DBPicklist Name
grid based on its alphabetical order.
Select the picklist in the
DBPicklist Name
grid.
The picklist name appears in the
DBPicklist Name
field for the list items.
Enter the picklist value in the
List Item
field.
Enter any qualifier information in the
Qualifier 1
and
Qualifier 2
fields.
If a qualifier is not required, leave the fields blank.
Select
Add
next to the
List Item
grid.
The picklist value appears in the
List Item
grid.

Set a Picklist as Program-specific
You can configure the Qualifier 1 field to make the ISP Goal, ISP Objective, and ISP Intervention picklists program-specific. If you leave the Qualifier 1 field blank, the picklist is applicable to all programs. Open the BH Foundation Configuration template, and expand the BH DBPicklists panel. In the DBPicklist Name grid, select the ISP Goal, ISP Objective, or ISP Intervention picklist. The picklist name appears in the DBPicklist Name field. Select Qualifier 1. The Programs window displays a list of available programs. Select a program, and then select OK. The picklist appears only in the selected program. Parent topic: BH DBPicklists

Update a DB Picklist
Open the BH Foundation Configuration template, and expand the BH DBPicklists panel. In the DBPicklist Name grid, select a picklist. The picklist name appears in the DBPicklist Name field. In the List Item grid, select a picklist value. The list item value appears in the List Item field. Modify the value and then select Update. The new value appears in the grid. Set the Default Picklist Status
You can configure the default value for the Patient Discharge Status and Source of Admission picklists. To set the default value, you can update the Qualifier 1 field for the correct list time to Y. Open the BH Foundation Configuration template, and expand the BH DBPicklists panel. In the DBPicklist Name grid, select the Patient Discharge Status or Source of Admission picklist. Select the correct picklist value in the List Item grid. Update the Qualifier 1 field to Y. Select Update next to the List Item grid. The picklist value previously set to Y is automatically set to N, and the new default is saved. Parent topic: BH DBPicklists

BH DBPicklists
Configurable picklists are divided into two groups: those that are clinical in nature and those that are regulatory or configuration related. You can configure picklists that are clinical in nature in the BH DBPicklists panel and regulatory or configuration-related picklists in the BH Content panel. When you configure picklists, you must reference both BH DBPicklists and BH Content panels. You can configure picklists for individual practices or for your entire enterprise. You can view the available picklists in the DBPicklist Name grid. You can select a column header to sort the list by that column. In the Comments field, you can mention any additional details. Note: You must not change the DBPicklist Name field. If you change the name of the picklist, the picklist gets disabled on any template where it refers to. Configure a Custom DB Picklist
In the top grid of the Custom DBPicklists template, highlight the custom DB picklist that you want to configure. Do one of the following: If a custom DB picklist uses only Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2, it is managed from the Step 2 Add/Edit List Item panel grid. Custom DB picklist If the custom DB picklist has more than two qualifiers, the Step 2 Add/Edit List Items panel is collapsed and the Configure button appears to the right of the panel label, skip to step 3. Note: If you want to customize a care plan DB picklist for a specific practice, you need a record in the names table containing the selected practice ID. Click Configure. The Custom DBPicklist Setup template opens. Custom DBPicklist Setup Click Add New List Item link to add a new list item. The fields above the grid become available for documentation. Add List Items to a DB Picklist
From the top grid, select the row of the DB picklist. The selected DB picklist details populate the Step 2 Add/Edit List Items grid. Note that: The Show selected DBPicklist option is selected to display the associated list items. The Show Only Editable Rows option displays the values of the custom DBPicklist that can be modified. Click Add New List Item link. The Get Dbpicklist Names list opens. Select the appropriate DB picklist name and click OK. Upon return to the Custom DB Picklists template, the List Item field at the bottom of the panel is enabled and ready for input. To customize the DB picklist for a specific practice, location and provider, select the relevant Practice ID, Location Name, and/or Provider Name. Note: By default, list items retain the options set for the DB picklist. If you select a Practice ID, Location Name, or Provider Name, the new list item is only available for the selected practice, location, or provider. Enter the relevant option in the Qualifier 1 and Qu
