Emergency Contact/Patient Relationship/Support Roles

The Emergency Contact/Patient Relationship/Support Role panel enables you to add emergency contact and support role information that would play a role in the patient’s treatment. The data you enter into the Emergency Contacts/Patient Relationship data grids display in the Patient Information screens. The Support Resources data displays in the data grids that display in the Individuals Present panel on clinical templates. Update or Delete a Patient and Provider Relationship

Select the row you want to update and then select Edit. The Tis Edit Patient Prov Role window opens. Complete the modifications and then select Save & Close. The updated relationship displays in the grid. To delete a row in the data grid, select that row and then select Remove. The relationship no longer displays in the list. Modify a Patient Provider

Open the Person Information or Patient Information window for the desired person or patient. Select the Provider tab. Select the row for the provider to be modified. Select the open menu , and select Open. The Modify Patient Provider window appears. Modify the following fields as needed: Preference Name Provider Effective/Expiration Dates Expiration Reason Primary Preference Name To save changes and close the window, select OK. Patient Chart Demographics with Providers Report

The Patient Chart Demographics with Providers report pulls patient demographics information and user-defined patient provider information from the Provider tab of the Add/Modify Patient Information window. User Defined Patient Providers are created in Practice Preferences > Provider. Up to 12 provider preference names can be defined. Once created, the Provider tab becomes available on the Add/Modify Patient Information window. Multiple providers can be recorded for a patient, each with a Preference Name, Provider Name, Effective Date, Expiration Date, and Expiration Reason. To access the report in NextGen® Enterprise PM, select the Reports menu and select General and then select Patient Chart Demographics with Providers. Add a New Emergency Contact or Patient Relationship

Select Add. The Modify Patient Information window opens. Select the Relations/Role tab. In the Relations/Role section, select the Open Menu . Select New. The Relationship Lookup window opens. Do one of the following: To link to someone already in the system, search for the person and then select Open. To enter a new person, enter the person’s information and then select New.
