Update a Medication Dose

The picklist on the MAR Administration (BH) template has the 1X Now option. This value is hardcoded and cannot be configured or removed. Open the MAR Configuration (BH) template. Expand the Medication Dose Times panel. Select a record in the grid. The details appear in the respective fields. Modify the required details, and then select Update. Create Medication Taper Schedules

You can create, modify, and delete dosing tapers in the Medication Taper Schedules panel. Tapers are specific to the medication line. You must configure multiple tapers for medications with multiple doses. On the MAR Configuration (BH) template, expand the Medication Taper Schedules panel. Select a taper name. Note: The Taper Name picklist displays the list as configured in the BH Content panel on the BH Foundation Configuration template. Select a medication. The MEDID field displays the medication ID for the selected medication. In Day, enter the number of days to administer the medication. For example, if a medication is given twice a day for three days, a taper record for each day and time (day 1, day 2, day 3, time 1, and time 2) is created for a total of six taper entries. MAR Configuration

You need additional security rights to add or modify the client's medication inventory. Security rights are set up in System Administrator. You must contact your system administrator if you do not have security rights to open the Floor Medication Inventory (BH) window. Document the Medication Prescriber Details for the Patient

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and then in Patient History, select Open Templates. The Select Template window opens. On the Medical Records tab, select All. Select MAR Prescribers (BH), and then select OK. Note: You can open the MAR Prescribers (BH) template from your Packet Navigation, or from the Templates module. For more information on configuring Packet Navigation, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Configuration Guide for NextGen® Behavioral Health Suite. Select the program, specialty, and visit type. Note: Only programs that the patient is actively enrolled in appear in the list. Document Group Medication Administration

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and then in Patient History, select Templates. Select File > System \ Practice Template. Note: You can configure your Packet Navigation (BH) template to include a link to open the Med Management Location (BH) template. For more information on configuring Packet Navigation, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Configuration Guide for NextGen® Behavioral Health Suite. Select All. The list of all the system templates appears. Select Med Management Location (BH), and then select OK. The Location and Date fields are automatically filled with the location selected at the top of your NextGen® Enterprise EHR window and today's date. If necessary, update the required Location or Date fields. To search for medication schedules, based on the specific dosing time or the patient's last name, enter information in the Time and Last Name fields. Select Filter.
