Email Settings

JSMTP Host
  • The SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol ) host field is used as a global e-mail setting for actions such as alerts. Enter the email you would like to use to receive alerts in the SMTP Host field.
  • Select the Send Test Email button to send a simple test e-mail to the Default From Address email address.
  • The SMTP Host, SMTP Port and Default From Address fields are required and must contain valid information to use send a test email.
KSMTP PortSMTP port used for global email settings (such as alerts)
LSend Timeout (ms)SMTP socket connection timeout in milliseconds. The default value is 5000 (ms) or 5 secs.
MDefault From AddressDefault address used in the From field for emails. A test email will also send to this address.
NSecure Connection

Determines whether to use the following setting when sending emails:

  • None: no encryption
  • STARTTLS: Explicit TLS
  • SSL: Implicit TLS
ORequire AuthenticationDetermines whether authentication is required when sending emails from within Mirth® Connect.
  • Select Yes to require authentication when sending emails.
  • Select No if authentication is not required when sending emails.
PUsernameEnter the username used to authenticate the email.
QPasswordEnter the password used to authenticate the email.
