About Advanced Clustering Configuration

When the Advanced Clustering plugin is installed, the Clustering tab appears on the Settings page in Mirth® Connect. Advanced Clustering Sync Intervals In 3.10.0 we have split many of the clustering tasks off from the Cluster Sync Interval into their own intervals. About the Cluster Status Tab

This tab lets you monitor the status of each server in the cluster. The Status column displays Stopped, Starting, or Running. A server that is Starting is in the process of initializing the Advanced Clustering plugin and deploying channels into the states in which they currently are deployed on the other servers in the cluster. A check mark in the Polling and Pruner columns shows which server is designated for those roles. (For details about polling/pruning, see About Polling/Pruning Roles in the About Advanced Clustering Configuration section.) The Last Joined column indicates when the server last connected to the cluster and began its startup process. The Last Heartbeat column indicates the last time this server recorded a heartbeat in the shared database. If the server's last-heartbeat time exceeds the heartbeat-timeout period, the server is considered offline by the other servers in the cluster. The following clustering features are available to Platinum subscribers who are using the Advanced Clustering plugin: Heartbeat Each node in the cluster records a heartbeat at a regular interval that all other nodes in the cluster monitors to detect a failure. Active/Active Mode Multiple nodes receive inbound messages through a round-robin load-balancer provided by the appliance. One node in the cluster is automatically designated to run polling channels and execute the data pruner on its defined schedule. Nodes may be added or removed on the fly. Database Replication The appliance provides a highly available, clustered database. If the primary database node fails, the standby database automatically takes its place. Benefits of a Shared Database All nodes in the cluster share the same set of channels. Modifications to channels are effective for the entire cluster. You have the ability to view and manage messages processed by any node in the cluster from a single Message Browser window.

Advanced Configuration

The following Java System properties can be set to configure how the channel synchronization process works: Property Default Description mirth.clustering.channelsync.initialwaittimems 60000 The initial amount of time that the sync process will wait for channel tasks to finish before moving on and releasing the channel operation lock. Default is 1 minute (60000 ms). mirth.clustering.channelsync.maxwaittimems 600000 The maximum amount of time that a particular channel task will be allowed to run before it gets cancelled. Default is 10 minutes (600000 ms). mirth.clustering.channelsync.resetfailedtaskms 86400000 When the maximum amount of failed attempts has been reached for a task, this setting determines how long to wait before resetting those attempts so it can start trying again. If you set this value to 0, these attempts will never be reset unless by a Redeploy All Channels task. When you perform a Deploy/Start/Resume task and it's successful, it will also reset the attempt counts for
