Update the Appliances
You must ensure that each appliance in the cluster has the latest software updates.
Select
System > Software Updates > Check for Updates.
Install all available updates for each appliance.

Run the Mirth® Connect Clustering Setup Wizard
(On the primary appliance) In the navigation bar, click Applications, and select Mirth Connect > Manage > Clustering > Wizard. Image of the Wizard option on the Applications menu. Follow the steps in the wizard. Note: You only need to run the wizard on one server in the cluster, and it will configure all servers as needed. Download the Advanced Clustering Plug-in
You must download the Advanced Clustering plug-in, from the Success Community website to install and set-up the plug-in. This plug-in is available for Mirth® Connect version 3.2.2 or greater. Log on to Success Community. In the Hot Topics section, select View More to view the full list of hot topics. In the Search field, search for "connect" to limit the search to Connect-specific topics, and then select Mirth Connect Download Central. On the Mirth Connect Download Central page, select the Advanced Clustering link to go to the Advanced Clustering Plug-In URL page. Select the link corresponding to your version of Mirth® Connect by NextGen Healthcare to start the download. Update the Mirth® Appliance by NextGen Healthcare Software
Updates to Mirth® applications, new features, bug fixes, and security patches are all delivered online and controlled from the appliance. To manually check for updates: On the Dashboard window, select the Check for Updates link. Select System > Software Updates. The Software Updates window appears. Select the Check for Updates button.The appliance queries the update server for available updates. During this process, the window updates with the progress as each step is completed, and a status message provides the number of available updates when the query is finished. Installing M3
M3 must be installed on a Mirth Appliance. To install, check for Software Updates on the appliance by navigating to System > Software Updates or click the "Check for Updates" link on the Mirth Appliance dashboard: Once the M3 update is installed, "Mirth M3" will appear in the list of applications on the Appliance. In the Mirth Appliance navigation bar, Go to Applications > Application Control. To start M3, click the "Start" button for Mirth M3 in Applications Control. Operating System
Every operating system receives security updates occasionally. it is best to keep up with these updates as they can affect any software, including Connect, installed on the system. If you are using a Mirth Appliance, follow the usual steps in the Control Panel to install Control Panel updates, otherwise use your operating system's updater to keep up with security updates.
