Restore a Backup to an Appliance

When you restore a backup, you can select any or all of the components in the backup file’s backup set to restore. Select System > Restore. Select Initiate New Restore. Select the Browse icon to open a file browser, and then select a backup set file. Select the backup file to restore.The appliance displays the path and file name. Select Next.The Select Items to Restore window appears. Select Items to Restore window Select the components from the backup set to restore. Select Start Restore.The appliance shows the progress of the restore process. When the process completes, the appliance returns to the Restore window, adding a log entry for the most recent restore process. Mirth® Appliance by NextGen Healthcare Automatic Failover Configuration

Use the recovery user account when you need to log on to a backup instance of the Mirth® Appliance by NextGen Healthcare. If two instances of the Mirth® Appliance by NextGen Healthcare are configured for automatic failover with a primary and a backup instance of Mirth® Connect, the server configuration is automatically copied from primary to backup. In this situation, NextGen Healthcare recommends that you log on to the backup server only with the recovery user account. When the primary console is restored, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) users are able to log on again. If LDAP users need to log on to the backup console, you must log on with the recovery account and re-enter the LDAP admin password. Restore a Saved SSL Manager Configuration

After backing up your configuration, you can restore it to another Mirth® Connect by NextGen Healthcare server with the SSL Manager installed using the following steps. Using the Mirth® Appliance by NextGen Healthcare Control Panel

The Control Panel is a web interface where you can view and set the details of the Mirth® Appliance by NextGen Healthcare configuration, and monitor and control its operation. The default credentials are: username: admin password: admin Important: You should delete or change the default credentials as soon as possible. When you are logged on to the Mirth® Appliance by NextGen Healthcare, the Control Panel displays a series of menus. Selecting the name of the menu takes you to the first item in that menu by default. For example, if you select System on the menu goes, you go directly to the Dashboard. The Control Panel includes three indicators with a current status for each. Add a User to Mirth® Appliance by NextGen Healthcare

You can add users who can connect to the appliance. Select System > Users. Select Add.The Add User window appears. Enter a username, the user’s full name, a password, and confirm the password. You can also add the user's email address and phone number. Under Roles, set the privileges the user has for the appliance.If you select Mirth Connect User, you also synchronize the user account with Mirth® Connect Administrator.
