Connect Through a Proxy Server

If you are unable to allow outbound internet access for the machine that Mirth® Connect by NextGen Healthcare is running on, another option is using an HTTP web proxy or firewall that supports HTTP CONNECT proxy requests. To do this, edit either the mcserver.vmoptions or mcservice.vmoptions file, depending on whether you're running mcserver directly, or using the service/daemon to run mcservice. Add the following options: -Dconnect.license.proxy.host=thehost-Dconnect.license.proxy.port=theport Replace "thehost" and "theport" with the actual hostname/IP and port of your HTTP proxy server. Step 1: Obtain Your License Key

Contact your sales account manager or help desk to obtain your license key. Make sure not to save this locally or share it with anyone, as it uniquely identifies your license. Mirth® Connect by NextGen Healthcare contacts our public license server when it starts up, and thereafter once a day in case there are changes. This is the preferred validation method, as it allows your server to pick up license changes on a real-time basis without any further intervention from you. For example if you renew your license, change your support tier (for example from Gold to Platinum) or your machine fingerprint changes, the next validation request uses and receive the most up-to-date information. Warning: With this method your server does need outbound access to our license server at www.connectlicenseserver.com. Step 3: Generate a License Validation Request

Launch the Mirth® Connect by NextGen Healthcare Administrator, and go to the Settings > License tab. Set the Validation Type to Offline, and select the Generate License Validation Request button.
