Launch the Mirth® Connect by NextGen Healthcare Administrator, and go to the Settings > License tab. Set the Validation Type to Online, enter your license key, and Save Changes. License Tab Parent topic: Online Validation

Step 4: Restart your Mirth® Connect by NextGen Healthcare Server

After restarting you can go back to the Settings > License tab and check the status and expiration date of your license. License Tab in the Settings View Parent topic: Online Validation

Step 3: Install Your Extensions

Go to the Extensions view, and install your extensions. You can install them all and then restart once; no need to restart after each individual extension is installed. Parent topic: Online Validation

Contact your sales account manager or help desk to obtain your license key. Make sure not to save this locally or share it with anyone, as it uniquely identifies your license. Step 4: Retrieve your License Validation Response

Online Validation

Mirth® Connect by NextGen Healthcare contacts our public license server when it starts up, and thereafter once a day in case there are changes. This is the preferred validation method, as it allows your server to pick up license changes on a real-time basis without any further intervention from you. For example if you renew your license, change your support tier (for example from Gold to Platinum) or your machine fingerprint changes, the next validation request uses and receive the most up-to-date information. Warning: With this method your server does need outbound access to our license server at www.connectlicenseserver.com.
