Creating Subsequent Encounters in a Series

When creating a subsequent encounter in a series for a patient who is set up for recurring billing, the UB Encounters window opens because an existing encounter is flagged as an initial encounter and it does not have a discharge date. The Copy Forward button on this window enables you to link subsequent encounters in the same series to the initial encounter. Value Codes

The values codes on the Value Codes tab are copied from the initial encounter in the series followed by the number of the encounter in the series. Each subsequent encounter is incremented by 1.
