Enable nine character procedure codes	Allows 9-digit procedure codes for paper claims.
Populate claim patient control fields (HCFA Box 26, UB92 Field Loc 3, ADA Box 61) with claim-specific Claim Number instead of Practice ID & Encounter Nbr	Prints the claim number instead of the patient control number on all claim forms.
CMS Standard Font (Times New Roman)	Changes the default font of Arial to the CMS approved font of Times New Roman. After you make this selection, claims will display and print in the following font and size: UB04 (2004) - Times New Roman 9-point ADA (2024) - Times New Roman 9- point CMS 1500 (2012) - Times New Roman 10-point Note: Times New Roman is a CMS approved font. OCR devices can easily read this font and it may decrease the number of claims that are rejected due to OCR misreads.

CMS 1500 (2005) Options

Field CMS 1500 (2005) Options Description Common Rules Tab About Field Prefixes Fields can have a prefix of UCase, LTrim, RTrim, or Trim. All fields with a prefix of: UCase - display in upper case LTrim - all leading spaces are removed RTrim - all trailing spaces are removed Trim - all leading and trailing spaces are removed Do not print payer address on CMS Prevents the payer address from printing on the CMS form. Payer Name at top of form One of the following options display Payer Name format options: Blank Payer Alias Payer Alias - Upper Case Payer Name Payer Name - Upper Case Use Contents of Box 19 Print payer address in old location Prints the address in the upper-right corner of the form. Print page numbers on multiple page claims Prints the page numbers in the format of Page XX of YY at the top of multiple page claims. Page numbers do not print on single page claims.
