Set Up Enterprise Preferences for Credit Card Processors
You can select multiple credit card processors on the Enterprise Preferences window but use only one credit card processor for each practice in NextGen® Enterprise PM. You can set up the actual processing is in the Practice Preferences. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Admin > Preferences > Enterprise. The Enterprise Preferences window opens. Select General from the Preference List. To turn on electronic payment processing for the practices within your enterprise, select the Enable Credit Card Processing check box. Select the credit card processor. Optional: Enter the username and password. Optional: Enter the merchant phone number. Note: The entered merchant phone number appears in a sticky note on the Payment Processing preference on the Practice Preferences window. Select OK. Set Up Practice Preferences for Credit Card Processors
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Admin > Preferences > Practice. The Practice Preferences window opens. From the Preference List, select Payment Processing. To activate credit card processing for your practice, select Enable Credit Card Processing. To process partial refund amounts that are less than the original credit card payment to the patients, select Allow partial credit on credit card payments. Note: If you do not select the Allow partial credit on credit card payments option, users can only credit the full amount of the original credit card transaction. The full amount of the original transaction appears in CC Amt and Pay on the Payment Entry window and is not editable. Optional: To save the credit card data as a unique token ID, select Save Credit Card Token ID on file. Select Auto Pay Collection Process for automatic collection of payments. Set Up Security Rights for Processing Credit Cards
You must set up the security rights for processing credit cards in System Administration to be able to set up the enterprise and practice preferences. In System Administration, select any enterprise, practice, and a user group. On the Rights tab on the Security Group tab, expand OPERATIONS. To configure credit card processor rights, select Credit Card Processor and set the Access Rights to Yes. To configure the rights to post a credit card transaction, expand Transactions.
