Set Preferences to Search for Coinsurance in Transaction Details

If you are an administrator, you can set preferences to fetch the latest coinsurance amount from previous transactions. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Admin menu, select Preferences > Practice. The Practice Preferences window opens. Select Pre-Services in the preference list, and then select the Search for Coinsurance tab. Select Transaction Details. A message appears stating that when transaction history is selected, the system overrides the coinsurance amounts in the contract library. Select OK. If you are an administrator, you can set preferences to fetch the coinsurance amount from the contract library by setting Contract as the source. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Admin menu, select Preferences > Practice. The Practice Preferences window opens. Select Pre-Services in the preference list, and then select the Search for Coinsurance tab. Set Preferences to Search for Coinsurance in Real-Time Transactions

If you are an administrator, you can set preferences to retrieve the latest coinsurance amount from the real-time transactions. The Real Time Transaction option is available only if the system is working in a real-time system. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Admin menu, select Preferences > Practice. The Practice Preferences window opens. Select Pre-Services in the preference list, and then select the Search for Coinsurance tab. Select Real Time Transaction as the source for coinsurance amount. Set Preferences to Search for Coinsurance in All the Sources

If you are an administrator, you can set preferences to fetch the coinsurance amount from real-time transaction, transaction details, and contract library. You can set the sequence of sources for fetching the coinsurance amount. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Admin menu, select Preferences > Practice. The Practice Preferences window opens. Select Pre-Services in the preference list, and then select the Search for Coinsurance tab. Select All as the source of the coinsurance amount. Select the sources in your preferred sequence for searching the coinsurance amount. If you select Transaction Details as first or second preference, a message appears with information that when transaction history is selected, the system overrides coinsurance amounts in the contract library. Select OK. To set the date range, select the period from the list, and the start and end dates. The date range is required to search through the previous transaction details. Select OK. Configuring Practice Preferences for Coinsurance

The Search for Coinsurance tab in the Pre-Service practice preferences enables you to select the source for coinsurance for cost estimation. The source for coinsurance can be one of the following: Real-Time Transaction. The system fetches the coinsurance amount from the response of a real-time transaction. This option is available for a practice working in a real-time system. Transaction Details. The system fetches the coinsurance amount from details in the previous transaction. You must specify the date range. The system fetches the latest coinsurance amount from the transactions made within the specified date range. By default, the coinsurance amount is considered from the transactions made in the current year. This option is available for practices working in real-time and non-real-time systems. Contract. The system fetches the coinsurance amount from the settings made in the contract library. This option is available for practices working in real-time and non-real-time systems. All
