Lookup

Files
.

File Archive Search
window appears.
In the
File Type
field, select
835 ERA File
.
Enter additional search criteria in the
Beginning

Thru

File Name
fields, if needed.
Select
Find
.
835 ERA files matching the search criteria entered are listed in the
Result
section of the window.
Select the desired archived file.
Right-click and select one of the following:
To export the archived ERA file, select
Export File
.
To print an EOB for the archived ERA file, select
Print EOB

This section provides information on settings in Enterprise Preferences that are related to ERA. Lookup an Archived ERA File
Access NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Tasks menu, select Lookup, and then Files. The File Archive Search window appears. In the File Type field, select 835 ERA File. Enter additional search criteria in the Beginning, Thru and File Name fields, if needed. Select Find. 835 ERA files matching the search criteria entered are listed in the Result section of the window. Select the desired archived file. Right-click and select one of the following: To export the archived ERA file, select Export File. To print an EOB for the archived ERA file, select Print EOB. Prerequisites for ERA Processing
Prior to beginning the ERA Posting process, it is necessary to enroll with an ERA trading partner (payer or clearinghouse). The timing of enrollment is critical and must be completed prior to receiving ERA 835 files from payers. Consult with the trading partner on the process required for downloading files from their website. To manage downloaded ERA 835 files, a filing system and naming convention should be determined and set up in advance. For example, a directory for storing unprocessed ERA files could be created as follows: ERA > Medicare > Unprocessed Files. It is recommended to also create a separate sub-folder for storing files that have already been imported and processed in NextGen® Enterprise PM. For example, ERA > Medicare > Processed Files. It is important to place these directory folders in a location that can be accessed by all users responsible for downloading and importing ERA files. It is also important to store only ERA 835 files in the directory folder and not includ

View an Archived Account Collection Letter
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Account. The Account Lookup window opens. Enter search criteria to locate the desired account. Select Find. All existing accounts that match the search criteria display in the Account List section. Select Account List, and then double-click the account. The Account Profile window opens for the desired guarantor. Select Notes. In the Folders list, expand the Letters folder, and then select the Demand Account folder. The section on the right displays the Date/Time, Creator, Letter Name, and Description for each archived account collection letter. Select the desired letter, and then double-click to open the letter. The Letter Preview window opens. Note: You cannot print archived letters. Therefore, the Print Dialog and Quick Print fields are not available on the Letter Preview toolbar. When finished viewing, select Close Preview on the toolbar.
