Ethnicity

Ethnicity is a part of patient demographics entry and it is used by all types of practices for meaningful use. It is also used by Health Centers for UDS and/or state specific reporting. Ethnicity indicates an individual's ethnic identity separate from race. Depending on a setting in Enterprise Preferences > Client Define tab, the Ethnicity field can display on either the Demographics tab or the UDS tab of the Add/Modify Patient Information window in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Note: The Ethnicity master list table comes pre-installed. Items should be reviewed and modified as needed. Homeless Status

Homeless Status is a part of patient demographics entry and it is used by Health Centers for UDS and/or state specific reporting. Homeless Status indicates an individual's current residential conditions at the time of service. This status is used at the patient level for UDS reporting and at the encounter level for HRSA reporting. The patient level Homeless Status field displays on the UDS tab of the Add/Modify Patient Information window in NextGen® Enterprise PM. The encounter level Homeless Status field for HRSA reporting displays on the General tab of the Encounter Maintenance window in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Note: The Homeless Status master list table comes pre-installed. Items should be reviewed and modified as needed. Race

Race is a part of patient demographics entry and it is used by all types of practices for meaningful use. It is also used by Health Centers for UDS and/or state specific reporting. Race indicates an individual's racial category. Depending on a setting in Enterprise Preferences > Client Defined tab, the Race field can display on the Demographics tab or UDS tab of the Add/Modify Patient/Person Information window in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Note: The Race master list table comes pre-installed. Items should be reviewed and modified as needed. Migrant Worker Status

Migrant Worker Status is a part of patient demographics entry and it is used by Health Centers for UDS and/or state specific reporting. Migrant Worker Status indicates the type of agricultural worker an individual is. The Migrant Worker Status field displays on the UDS tab of the Add/Modify Patient Information window in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Note: The Migrant Worker Status master list table comes pre-installed. School Based Health Center

School Based Health Center is a part of patient demographics entry and it is used by Health Centers for UDS and/or state specific reporting. It indicates whether an individual receives primary healthcare services at a school-based health center. The School Based Health Center field displays on the UDS tab of the Add/Modify Patient Information window in NextGen® Enterprise PM. UDS Related Master Lists

When enabled, a UDS tab displays on the Add/Modify Patient Information window in NextGen® Enterprise PM. The tab includes fields for capturing additional patient demographic information used by Health Centers for UDS Report purposes. The UDS tab and related fields are enabled at the enterprise level. Therefore, they are available to all practices in the enterprise. The pick-list items available for user selection in each UDS field are created in the corresponding Master Lists tables in File Maintenance.
