View Previously Outsourced Charges

NextGen® Enterprise PM searches for charges that have already been outsourced and displays them in the search criteria. You can generate a report based on the result of your search criteria. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select File > Processes > Outsource Charges. The Outsource Process window opens. On the General tab, select the required search criteria, and then select the Outsourced charges only check box. Selecting this check box limits the search to charges that are already outsourced. Note: When you select the check box, the Outsource button changes to the Reset button. Select Find. The search results appear. To generate and view a report for the previously outsourced charges, select Report. To clear the search criteria to perform another search, select Reset. Parent topic: Outsource Charges

Outsource Charges for Multiple Payers

To outsource charges for multiple payers, ensure to enable outsourcing in the Practice Preferences window by selecting Enable outsourcing on the General Preference List. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select File > Processes > Outsource Charges. The Outsource Process window opens. On the General tab, enter the required search criteria. Select the Payer tab. Select the Open Record icon. The Payers window opens. Select the blue arrow button to move the desired payers from the Available section on the left to the Included section on the right. To save changes and close the window, select OK. To find all charges that match the selected General tab and Payer tab parameters, select Find. The search results display in the Charges section. Select the check box on the left for all charges to be outsourced. Do one of the following: To generate and view a report for the selected charges, select Report. The following reports can include outsourced charges: Aging Analysis by Line Item Insurance Aging Analysis Insurance Detail Insurance Summary Activity Detail Daily Charges Daily by Line Item Payments Daily by Encounter Payments Monthly Change in Accounts Receivable Monthly Provider Productivity by RVU Monthly Service Item Summary - Extended Amount and Transactions Monthly Service Item Summary - Transaction Source To include or exclude outsourced charges on a report, do the following: Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Reports, and then select the desired report. Open the desired report. The NextGen Report Filter window opens for the selected report. Select Filter 1 from the list on the left. Select one of the following Outsource options: Only: Select this option to include only outsourced charges in the report. Exclude: Select this option to exclude outsourced charges from the report. Include All (default): Select this option to include both non-outsourced charges and outsourced charg

Enter Search Criteria to locate the desired patient. Select Find. All existing persons and patients that match the search criteria entered display in the Matching Records section of the window. In the Matching Records list, double-click to open the patient. The Patient Chart window opens. Select the Encounters tab. Right-click on the encounter, and then select Outsource charges. The Outsource Process window opens. In the Search Criteria section, select Outsource Agency, Department, Financial Class, and Provider fields from the list. Enter the Outsource Date,
