Create Quick Batches
When you can create a quick batch, the
NextGen® Enterprise PM
uses the current system date as the default date for the batch.
Note:
If you create a quick batc in
NextGen® Optical Management
, the batch appears as an optical batch in
NextGen® Enterprise PM
.
From the main toolbar, select
Posting
.
The
Batch Posting
window opens.
Select open menu
, select
New
, and then select
Quick Batch
.
The
Quick Batch
window opens.
Enter a name for the batch, and then select
OK
.
The created batch appears in the
Batch Posting
window.

To quickly create a batch header record with the need to work with the Batch Maintenance window, you can create a Quick Batch. When you create a Quick Batch, the application uses the current system date as the default date for the batch. The Batch Posting window opens. Select the open menu icon, select New, and then select Quick Batch. The Quick Batch window opens. Enter a name for the batch and select OK. NextGen® Optical Management users can create batch header records to handle transactions related to optical orders. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, you can view and work with the optical batches created in NextGen® Optical Management by selecting the Show Optical batches checkbox in the Batch Posting window. You can also create an optical batch within NextGen® Enterprise PM by selecting the Optical Batch checkbox in the Batch Maintenance window.

Search for Batches
You can search for a batch by date, dollar amount, description, or user. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Posting Posting Button. The Batch Posting window opens. Select open menu Open Menu button, and then select Batch Lookup. The Batch Lookup window opens. To search for a batch, enter the search criteria, and then select Find. You can use different combinations of the search criteria to search for a patient. The Batch Lookup window displays the applicable batches.
