The purpose of the Anesthesia Concurrency Audit report is to display anesthesia charges, associated modifiers and dollar values for both the Rendering and MDA providers. You can verify information before committing the encounters to an unbilled status. If an encounter does not meet the criteria for an encounter to pass the audit, an error message displays on the report.

You can manually void the line that needs changes and re-key the line with the correct number of units and appropriate modifiers. This allows for accounts receivable to balance with the general ledger interfaces if charges do not go through the audit prior to the process date being applied.

| Audits | Provides a record for use when billing audits. This is in addition to the Audit Log. |
| Color Coding | Includes color coding the encounters as green for pass, blue for warnings, and red for failed. |
| Comparison | Compares each encounter against all encounters for the medical director, date and time frame and for encounters in a status of hold, unbilled, rebill, billed or history. |
| Concurrency Values | Determines and displays the concurrency values. |
| Concurrent Cases | Identifies from 1-5 concurrent cases. If there are 6 or more cases, a warning message is issued. |
| Failure | Fails the entire encounter if one charge line on the encounter fails the audit. |
| Identification | Identifies encounters that are medically directed, or personally performed. |
| Modifier changes | Displays modifier changes made by the Anesthesia Modifier library. |
| Processing | Processes encounters with at least one anesthesia charge regardless of the rendering provider specialty. |
| Report Memorization | Each practice can memorize one report. |
| Running after the process date | Reports the data when encounters are run through the audit after the process date set by auto close and modifier changes need to take place. |
| Troubleshooting | Displays the Anesthesia library settings that are utilized during the audit process. |
