Add a Patient Group

To add a patient group in NextGen® Enterprise PM or NextGen® Enterprise EHR, do the following: Access Patient Groups.The Patient Group Search window opens. Search for a Patient Group. If the group you are searching for is not listed in the Matching Records section of the Patient Group Search window, do one of the following to add a new group: Select New. Select Open Menu and select New. Right-click and select New. The Patient Group window opens. On the General tab, enter general information for the group. Select the Members tab to add members to the group. To save changes and close the window, select OK. Note: The Appointments tab is blank when a new patient group is added. For an existing patient group, the tab displays future group appointments scheduled for the group. Modify a Patient Group

To modify a patient group in NextGen® Enterprise PM or NextGen® Enterprise EHR, do the following: Access Patient Groups.The Patient Group Search window opens. Search for a Patient Group. Access Patient Information for a member in the group. Remove members from the group. Transfer members from the group to another group. Add a member to an existing group appointment. Accessing Patient Groups

In NextGen® Enterprise PM, you can access patient groups by doing one of the following: From the Tasks menu, select Patient Group. From the Appointment Book toolbar, select Patient Group. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, you can access patient groups by selecting the File menu and then selecting Patient Group. Add Patients to a Patient Group

You can add patients to a group. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and then from File, select Patient Group. On the Patient Group Search window, enter the Group Name and select Search. Select the desired group, and then select Open. The Patient Group [Group name] window opens. Select the Members tab. Select , and then select Add a Member. Enter the last name of the patient, and any other distinguishing data, and then select Find. Double-click the patient's name. The patient's name appears in the Member List. Select OK. You can create a patient group if no patient group exists. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and then select File > New > Group Encounter. Select . The Patient Group Search window appears. Select New.
